Church of St John Vianney (1956) is located at Jalan Seremban, Batu Satu, in Tampin. The Tampin District is a district in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. However, part of the Tampin town spills over into the neighbouring state of Melaka, as it is located along the Melaka-Negeri Sembilan border. Tampin district is further divided into four adat or socio-political provinces: Tampin town, Air Kuning, Gemencheh and Gemas. Tampin gets its name from the container or pouch weaved from the pandanus fronds. The container was used to store condiments such as the kelamai or dodol and the shrimp paste.
