How to Get There

By Plane

You can take flight to Sultan Abdul Halim Airport, Alor Setar. Once you reach airport you need to get a taxi to reach Houseboat Merbok Cruise where the journey takes about an hour to reach the houseboat.

By Bus

You may take transnasional bus or any other bus operators depart from TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) to Sungai Petani, Kedah. From there you can take either cheap taxi or local bus for only 12 minutes trip to Houseboat Merbok Cruise.

By Car

If you are driving from Kuala Lumpur via North-South Expressway, follow the route to the Kedah in the north and take exit 170 at Sungai Petani Selatan. From Sungai Petani continue your journey for another 12 minutes’ drive to reach the Houseboat Merbok Cruise.

By Train

You can take ETS train from KL Sentral to Sungai Petani where it takes approximately 4 hour to reach Sungai Petani Railway Station. Once you arrived at the Station, you can take either bus or taxi to Houseboat Merbok Cruise.
