The hotel was lovely, clean and staff were very helpful. There was a delay checking in as our room wasn't ready but we were offered a free breakfast. We didn't eat there as we felt the food was very overpriced, there are many, many other more reasonably priced options.

Great location, close to Sultanahmet Square and the Blue Mosque. The rooms are amazing. Breakfast here is wonderful. Staff is very nice!

We had a wonderful stay at the AJWA Sultanhamet. The hotel design was exceptional and really enhanced our stay in Istanbul. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was convenient to the major sights in the area. We also had a wonderful dinner at the rooftop restaurant. Would highly recommend this property for a visit to Istanbul.

This is a great hotel and the staff if great. I would normally give it a 5 star review but there is something that you need to be aware of as a traveler that is not disclosed on the booking site. You cannot use the pool or the spa with your significant other as the times when the men and women can use the gym and spa services are different. Women can use the services from 6 am to 8 am, men from 8 am to 3 pm and then women again from 3 pm to 8 pm. Therefore, if you are a man and you have toursist attractions to visit during 8am to 4 pm, you cannot use the gym or spa services and if you are a woman that wants to work out early, it has to be very early. We were told because this hotel follows orthodox islamic rules but these rules are very misplaced as when we went for breakfast on the top floor, out of the 6 days we went for breakfast, there was only one woman that wore the hajab (Islamic covering for women) and thus them stating that men and women had separate pool and spa times made no sense. Especially since the massage rooms were private anyway and would not have disturbed members of the other gender. I do not recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy the gym, pool, and spa services with your significant other. I would not return even though the physical facilities and the staff were great.

Beautifully ornate hotel elegantly decorated with marble everywhere! Little details like keeping the towels and washcloths in their own fabric bags stood out. We loved our “greenery” room and would stay here again!

had a wonderful stay at Ajwa Hotel Istanbul. The location is excellent—very close to many of the main attractions, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The hotel restaurant was very good, and there are also plenty of great dining options nearby. I also experienced a traditional Turkish bath (hammam) at the hotel, which was a highlight of my stay. What truly stood out was the staff—everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout my visit. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Ajwa Suntanahmet is a wonderful experience from check-in to check-out. The staff is very friendly, efficient and caring. The concierge manager and deputy manager are very good and communicate effectively and proactively through WhatsApp. The breakfast is sumptuous and room services are great. Wifi worked well, the location is central and we used both the airport pickup/dropoff service as as well as their recommendation for a tour guide. I would definitely recommend and stay here again

I visited with my daughter for a week. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the sights in Sultanahmet. The staff was welcoming and helpful in advice for sightseeing. Also, it was clean and nicely decorated in the lobby. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Only con in the room was that it’s a little dark despite the available lighting. I liked that they have several types of pillows to choose from. The major drawback for me here was that the gym/spa opens at 8am can only be used by men from 8am to 3pm then women 3pm to 10 pm. The problem is that we were always out early morning after breakfast for sightseeing tours and when we came back, it was only allowed for women. I understand their cultural separation of men and women but to be competitive in the international market, the hotel should have additional hours outside of their strict Male/female hours. We were told by the front reception that another time may possibly be arranged but that was never to be. All in all a decent stay but with one major drawback. Also, this particular hotel does not serve any type of alcohol at its Zeferan enclosed rooftop restaurant.

This is a gorgeous hotel very close to the mosques. A luxe place that features the most amazing breakfast. We wish we had not had such an early flight so we could enjoy it again. Great restaurant with great views and a very very comfortable bed! Recommend!

The location of this hotel is its biggest problem. It’s not close to public transit which makes it very difficult to get around if you’re not a hardy walker. The beds are very firm and not all Kingsize if that’s important to you. The staff do their best to help solve problems. On the positive side, the breakfast is good, served on the top floor with a gorgeous view of the Bosporus. The spa is fantastic! We were given 2 spa treatments on the house. The Lavender Body Scrub and Massage was amazing. This hotel is a nice 3 star but it doesn’t come close to the 5 star hotels we have stayed in around the world.
