Great staff. Excellent service. Rooms are nice and clean. Swimming pools are good especially for kids. Food is not so great (we got a an undercooked pizza after waiting for 1 hour). There are plenty of flies which they could not control. It would be good if they put screens on their restaurants. The flies were really annoying, in fairness to the staff, they try to clean the place as much as they can but it was not really enough to stop the flies. Also, the breakfast include dried fish and shrimp paste which attract more flies. There are also electrical junction boxes next to the kids pool which are probably for the lighting, potential safety hazards which should be fixed. Some chipped tiles next to the infinity pool in the Villas which should also be fixed. They should also fix the road leading to the entrance and add more signs, report the flickering street light nearby. Other than those, it was a great place.

View from our room is very stunning! Very cheap for a beach front hotel.

I hope I can give them negative stars. Here's what went wrong. 1. When we arrived, the parking lot was already packed. There was no security guard on duty so it was a struggle to find a parking space. Imagine I had to drive backwards from the parking lot to the road because there were cars that were about to get out, and the entrance/exit is only one lane (the entrance was steep). Good thing the drivers there were very helpful. 2. We ended up going to the nearby resort to ask if we can just pay a shower fee to use their shower area because there was a long line, and they ran out of water. 3. Come dinner time, we ordered our food from their restaurant. We waited for more than an hour only to find out that our order has not even been started yet. We were already hungry so we opted to cancel our order, and went out to look for another restaurant. 4. We decided not to get our breakfast because there was already a very long line at the restaurant at 7am and we were in a hurry. Also, a lot of the customers who waited in line very early were already complaining that they have been waiting so long for their order. Kawawa yung mga staff nila dahil sila sumasalo sa mga complaints ng mga tao. 5. We had another parking lot problem. We checked out at 8am. Upon getting to the parking lot, there was a car parked in the drive way. I went to the front desk to ask for assistance, but no one was there. I had to ask one of their restaurant crews for help, but nothing happened. I ended up asking people. However, I was not able to locate the owner of the car and we really had to go. Good thing the drivers in the parking lot were really nice, and they helped us solve the problem. Again, no guard on duty. If the management reads this, please please please do not just accept and accept customers if you cannot serve them well. I'm really disappointed with how we were treated even if we booked the pricey bali huts. It's not okay that we didn't get our money's worth, but what's more frustrating is that our long-awaited vacay turned into a nightmare. I hope your future customers do not get the same treatment.

About

La Union is located in the northern part of the island of Luzon and is home to several beaches. While these beaches may not exactly be as famous as the perennial heavyweights such as Palawan, it does not stop young professionals (and the occasional young at heart) from making the four to five hour drive from Manila on a long weekend.

Whether you are a high school graduate looking to make some memories, a young professional in need of a break or a bohemian in search of inspiration, La Union is a place for everyone. Beach lovers can find themselves relaxing on the warm sand or cooling off in the clear water. Nearby, foodies can be seen eating and taking photos of several dishes from different cuisines of local restaurants. At night, people of different cultures meet and enjoy the music from the live bands playing by the shore.

Why book La Union Villas?

When visiting La Union or as it is affectionately called; “El Yu”, you normally do so as a group. It is not a testament to the security of the area but rather the amount of experiences and fun that can be enjoyed. There is simply so much that you can do in this place, which is made much better with good company. It is for this reason that renting a villa in La Union is highly recommended.

thunderbird resorts and casinos poro point-1

Each unit is designed to accommodate multiple guests and is built with a “home away from home” feel. Villas for rent in La Union are usually designed with more than one bedroom, giving everyone enough room to relax. Common areas are also present for groups to socialize and bond with one another.

Types of Villas

Aside from the number of occupants, there are other points to consider when choosing a specific type of villa. Below are a few types to choose from.

Surfing Capital

  • Beachside Villa - La Union is filled with several beaches so if choosing a villa near the beach, you will certainly have a lot of options. There is no better feeling than waking up in the morning with a view of the water and the sound of the crashing waves. Renting a beachside villa in La Union also means you will avoid having to drive down to the beach as it is just a few meters away.
  • Family Villa - This is the ideal choice if you are traveling with a large group of family or friends. Each La Union villa for rent will be outfitted with the necessary space to accommodate several guests during each stay. This will make a difference as space can sometimes be a premium for most travelers.

  • La Union Attractions and Activities

You will find no shortage of attractions and activities when visiting La Union. It is for this reason that La Union continues to be one of the most popular destinations for long weekends and vacations.

    San Juan Surfing Beach

  • Go surfing - Surfing has been a staple in La Union as it is one of the most accessible locations if you are from Manila and want to catch some waves. You will be able to easily find surfing instructors as they are just waiting by the shore. Surfboards can be rented for first timers.
  • Party the night away - With a nightlife comparable to Boracay’s, it is a must for you to visit the popular hostel “Flotsam and Jetsam” as they have parties which are open to everyone. People from all over can come to enjoy the music and drinks, which are available until the early hours of the morning.
  • Cliff diving in Tangadan Falls - Because La Union has been almost synonymous to surfing, people tend to forget that there are still other things to do and sights to see, one of them is Tangadan Falls.

  • Getting Around

Most of the attractions and accommodations in La Union are within walking distance of one another so the difficulty mostly lies in finding your way back to the hotel after a couple of drinks. For modes of transportation, bus services are available throughout the province. For shorter destinations, tricycle and jeep services are available.
