Novotel Paris la Défense Esplanade

Hotel is conveniently located next to a large mall and subway station for easy/convenient access to central Paris. The room was large and clean with a great, unobstructed view of central Paris, including the Eiffel Tower. Staff at the front desk were all very present and helpful

Nice hotel for a good price. Located in the business district but only a short journey on the metro into the centre of Paris.

We liked the location which was close to the metro and a short walk across the bridge to Neuilly which we really like. However, we thought this was a poor 4 star hotel. - air conditioning in the room was poor which was not ideal when it was so hot over our stay - the safe in the room was broken - the hotel and room generally seemed in need of update - we stayed in this hotel many years ago and it does not appear to have changed since - reception staff seemed not interested, and certainly not welcoming. On arrival, 2 reception staff were sitting talking in a separate room - certainly not business from body language, after some time waiting they came out, no bonjour, no welcome, just a look as we had disturbed their conversation. I may be wrong but it seems this hotel is so full of large group tours, they forget the individual. - On leaving, reception again - wanted to charge a second time for city taxes which I had already paid on arrival. However, it was for me to prove I had paid so had to open my bank app to prove it - it seems they had problems with their IT systems which had not updated the payment - a minor but indicative point, 2 small paper cups in the room for tea / coffee.

Nothing specific to mention, both good or bad.

A hotel very close to the metro to gain access to all of Paris but without staying in the middle of the city. Shame evening restaurant is no longer using the breakfast room to allow the current room to return to being a bar/bar snacks room for sitting and chatting. The lobby area is impersonal.

Awful mattresd

Extremely tiny rooms, rude staff especially the restaurant staff. As such nothing is there in the restaurant but on top of that the staff is mostly unfriendly unavailable snd rude. The frontdesk is unwelcoming too and makes you suffer for anything & everything!

We liked the convenience of Hotel across road from Metro station, M1 direct into Paris, Hotel was clean and good selection for Breakfast with plenty staff clearing tables so no waiting, The room was good we had good view of Eiffel tower from bedroom window, Reception staff excellent giving advise on how to get to attractions easily,

Stay was not good for the price paid. On the first night I could not sleep as room was too warm. I was told no air con do not start till April. Next day morning I could not get hot water in the shower. When complained I was told many people staking shower in the morning causes nonhot water. What a terrible system which can not manage it's capacity.

Generally good but would have been nice to have bottled water, iron and ironing board in the room rather than having to ask for one.

The property was good, it was clean and staff were nice. However, the beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable which and toilet clogged easily.

I’ve stayed in many Paris hotels, and if you’re expecting a 4-star, avoid this one. It should lose a star, and management needs to address the poor state. Clearly, guest experience is not a priority. I paid £500 for 2 nights in a “superior” room with a view, but it felt more like a dated 3-star motel. Check-in was bland—no interaction, no explanation of services, not even a confirmation of my booking. Staff seemed untrained. The 10th-floor corridor was dark and outdated, and the room wasn’t any better—cramped, gloomy, and unclean. The only positive was the view of the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower. The depressing color scheme of browns and grays made the room feel even worse. Nothing about the room was "superior." A few Rituals products don't compensate for the lack of basics like robes, slippers, or water. £250 per night for this? The bathroom was tiny, with a faulty showerhead, and the loose socket was dangerous. The towels were so thin they were practically see-through. Clearly, the room wasn’t maintained. Breakfast was chaotic. The food was poor, and the hot dishes weren’t even warm. The dining area was unclean. This hotel isn’t any better than the IBIS next door. I’m just relieved I only stayed for 2 nights.

Hotel was reasonable clean and in a nice area, but very dated. Rooms need renovation, looks like it hasn't been done since the 80s with wood chip wall paper. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Very good, nice people. The inconvenientes is a restaurants, no good services in this area
