Hotels near Malacca Island

The picture quite different from reality, especially the bathroom. So many scratches and need rehab on the interior. From the outside it looks more like a hostel than a hotel. I don't know if its an old hotel but living inside surely feels like its 100yo. The only good thing is the location near the eye specialist.

Let me take you through my experience here at Hatten hotel. Upon checking in, rooms smelled of cigarettes. I had requested for 2 non smoking rooms for my family of 5. Requested for a change of rooms but was told that we will be at different floors as they don't have available rooms side by side. Sofas were dirty as shown in the photos. Curtains were dirty as well. Toilet was not cleaned properly. I was told by the receptionist that this is an old hotel, more than 10 years. On the second day, I had requested for housekeeping at 10am but my rooms were left unattended when I came back to hotel at 4pm. Called housekeeping and they told me I will need to wait as they were still cleaning up level 22. My room was located at level 16. This is absurd and ridiculous. I had to speak to the duty manager only then they assigned a housekeeper to clean my room. Dirty rubbish bags were not cleaned also. I left it outside the room before midnight. It was still there the next day at 3pm. It has a prime location which is easily accessible to dahkota pahlawan mall and other tourist areas. However would not come back again because of the negative experience. Would not recommend this hotel. They pride themselves for a 5 star hotel but the standard is not even close. It is horrible.

Sangat suka menginap disini, tidak jauh dari mahkota, bisa berjalan kaki. Sarapan pagi nya dihotel berbeda tapi sangat puas, makanannya enak dan teh tarik nya enak. Kamar nya kecil tapi nyaman cuma sedikit tidak nyaman, kurang kedap suara, suara dari kamar sebelah kedengaran. Anyway. Next mau nginap disini lagi, enak makannya.

The air conditioning in room 321 was not even cold in the afternoon. It just blowing normal air. I informed the staff, and they went up to fix it, but it was still the same. At night, then it started to chill down after 8pm as maybe the sun went down. As for the bathing part, the water spray was kind of broken. I think the hotel was trying to cut costs by turning off the air conditioning in the main lobby as well. The kids pool running water was turned off until you informed them, then they turned it on. The kids pool was kind of run down; You will feel alone even during the weekend, like those in the Chinese Huanted movie.

Comfortable stay at the Straits hotel, the rooms were so clean, bed sheets smells like new and they change everyday. Food for suhoor also well prepared. It was an amazing experience stay especially during Ramadhan. I would reccomend this hotel to everyone.

Oc for low budget hotel. Location oc, food oc. But in our room the window cannot close so the room is quite hot although the AC is on. No special pool for kids.

Nice budget hotel to stay, check in hotel 02:00pm & front desk told me breakfast start from 07:00am, then the next day I came down for breakfast 07:00am, but staff told me 07:30am, no water in room, no teeth brush in room,

Amazing 😍, 3time I stayed, breakfast is Malaysian food. I like it
