Shangri La Mactan Cebu

I had a wonderful experience at Shangrila . The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. Making it easy to explore the area. The breakfast, pool, lobby, and beach area. I like the service,the room is clean but I didn’t like the idea that the only place that has air conditioning is your room,the minute you step out the room everything is hot ,very humid

Nice beach and pools. I liked the dinner with cultural show. Unfortunately my husband and I got diarrhea after. The service is great but the property needs a facelift. Lots of broken things. Our room has a sewage smell in the bathroom. And the elevators were down! We had to carry our luggage’s and with a toddler and a stroller and backpacks it was a feat. There were trash at the beach too. And although they have lots of activities, you have to pay extra for them. I won’t be going back. Didn’t experience these at marriot hotels.

Excellent service and lovely environment. The food at the buffet restaurant was delicious offering a range of sea food.

Suprise with the kids friendly arrangement. Even buffer there is section for kids with kids height setup.

Enjoyed the stay. A little far from outside restaurants, but the facility has its own restaurants.

PROs: ALL their staff are very welcoming , accommodating, conversant, great sense of picking up what is needed or how to make your stay very worthwhile , watchful for your safety( lifeguards everywhere ); had a sea view with balcony overlooking the main pool and part of the sea and lobby lounge with very comfortable bed and working air conditioning system; 4 bottled water is provided daily as needed which is great; had a great time snorkeling, enjoying the beach & pools, had the best fish fry and restaurant made tartar sauce in the Lobby lounge, delicious Mactan fruity signature drink by Cowrie Bar, lots of choices by the Tides breakfast buffet, and huge yummy hotdog by the Breeze beach restaurant ; so far cannot find 1 bit of a con.

The property is amazing and the food was the best we had in the Philippines
