We have stay here multiple times and previous stays were great. This stay was poor as we had no linen provided for the 3rd person, there was a consistent whirring noise coming from the roof(maybe air conditioning units) which was very disruptive to sleep. Our room was booked for 3 adults and I found it was tiny and the bathroom was like an en-suite size that was located in our bedroom, so when the 3rd person accessed the toilet and shower they had to come through our bedroom.

We requested a portacot and high chair only to find out none were available when we arrived. With no apology we were offered a sofa bed which our 18 month old couldn't sleep on safely. We ended up having to rearrange the bedroom so she could sleep on a mattress on the floor. The Mantra was not accommodating to families at all. The room itself was average and also not very clean. The mattress from the sofa bed was disgusting and the floor where our daughter slept was incredibly dusty. Their phones were also down and we tried calling for days prior to our booking to confirm the portacot request. They were completely unaware of our messages through Wotif.

The apartment I was given was huge and well equipped however the main bedroom had clearly had someone smoking in it previously as it stunk of cigarette smoke. This led to a sleepless night due to allergies to the smoke. I definitely got a better sleep the second night as I moved to the other room however even my pyjamas smelled of smoke. Also, don’t bother paying for the breakfast. It is made offsite and you have to go and collect it from reception at 8am as that’s when they open. There is also no option for dietary requirements with the only option being a ham and cheese croissant and yoghurt. When I advised the hotel staff I was unable to eat gluten and asked for another option I was told that there was none. The staff were incredibly unhelpful telling me that they would not refund me because I paid hotels.com. Instead of attempting to assist me they were looking up their listing on hotels.com to see what it said about their breakfast offering. While hotels.com were responsive on the chat, promising they would contact the hotel, issue a refund for the breakfast I paid for but could not eat, and email me regarding the case, I am yet to receive any correspondence from Hotels.com or the hotel regarding the issue.
