A quite relaxing place to stay, specifically for the older generation.

This meant to be one of our highlight of our two weeks Canada’s road trip. We picked this hotel for its location and how this hotel market for relaxation and ambiance. It is on the higher end of the cost per night in the area. Staff was friendly but communication can definite be improve. We stayed two nights, there is building work started at 7am, we were put into a room facing the construction, we were not inform about this when we checked in. The night staff was kind, explain the history and show us around the hotel. I then spoke to reception staff in the morning and they said they will see what they can do. We got back to the hotel late that night, so we didn’t choose to move to the other building, but if we were informed by messages via hotel.com, we might have choose to go back to hotel earlier, to enjoy the hot hub and reset the experience. Most frustrating part probably is at check out, the same lady said the staff should have offered us breakfast, question did no one tell us that. The thing is if you weren’t given a choice is one thing but to be at check out to given another disappointment is annoying. The lady probably shouldn’t said anything. We dislike the over promise. The same lady said she will advise her manager that is currently on leave to write to me, I said let’s see, it’s a week on, still nothing. Another overpromise and under deliver. We expected more for the value we paid, this is constructive feedback. Thank you.

property is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were super clean, and every area was perfect, but what impressed me the most was the amazing staff at StoneHaven. Starting with the lady at the front desk who was in training — she provided excellent service and made me feel very welcome. The restaurant maître d’ was such a lovely lady, always taking care of me and making sure everything was perfect. The waiter during the evening service was also extremely professional and kind. I truly recommend your property, and I hope to come back very soon.

Beautiful property with a lot of cachet, would certainly recommend

The bed was terrible, and we were very uncomfortable for two nights. We reported the issue to the staff, but they never fixed it.

Every thing was wonderful. The thermal circuit was a highlight.

I absolutely love this place. It feels so homey and relaxing, and the overall atmosphere is beautiful. The food is delicious. Staff very nice and helpful. The only minor downsides on this visit were the shower pressure being (very) low and with a broken handheld showerhead, pillows that felt a bit oversized, and curtains that did not block the light quite enough. But none of that is reason enough to stay away. We plan to return many times. And I entirely recommend you try it!

It was top notch

Clean room, beautiful decor in all parts of the building. Very nice helpful staff. The spa amenities were run-down. The sauna didn’t get hot and the steam room wasn’t working. I got a massage and it was decent but nothing special. The restaurant is very good but small portions as expected with fine dining and quite pricey. The hotel is dog friendly in some rooms which is a big bonus for us!

Everything from start to finish was perfect. We enjoyed the unique atmosphere and settings. It reminded us of the best hotels in Germany and Switzerland. This place is truly a gem.

Séjour en amoureux. Très Belle chambre et très bon restaurant, rien à dire, c’était délicieux et nous avons apprécié le Spa extérieur du domaine. Nous avions une suite vue sur le Lac dans l’annexe, le seul point négatif pour moi était que le lit King était en faite 2 lits simples collés ensemble et non un grand matelas. J’aurais aimé avoir l’information, car malgré la literie de qualité, on tombe dans la « craque » des deux matelas. Outre ça, l’endroit est calme et relaxant. Belle établissement.

This is definitely one of our favourite hotels in the world. Much as we want to gatekeep this property, we want to see its continued success. The decor is impeccably curated, a perfect balance of modern finishings with antique furnishings. The bed and bedding create a cloud to sleep on. We will always return. One thing - please go back to the Molton Brown bath and body items. Occitane is ok but nowhere near as good as MB!

We loved Stonehaven! The property and buildings are lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room (in the annex/pavillion) was spacious and spotless, with a great view of the lake. While the decor is traditional/antiques including lots of beautiful original art, the room was practically brand new with a really nice bathroom and very comfy bed. We ate in the restaurant one night - beautifully prepared and presented food. The hot tub was nice too on a cold day (we couldn’t figure out the sauna unfortunately). And we enjoyed some of the many sitting areas and the provided board games. We will definitely return!

L’hôtel est charmant, mais il manque beaucoup d’entretien et d’attention aux détails. Le calfeutrage dans notre douche était moisi et dégoûtant. Plusieurs allées à l’extérieur étaient très glacées et dangereuses. Des gouttières manquaient et l’eau provenant de la fonte de la glace tombait sur les gens aux entrées. Il y avait un espace avec un foyer devant le restaurant qui était complètement inaccessible. Le bois près du foyer, à côté de la piscine, n’était pas couvert et était trop mouillé pour être utilisé. Le restaurant était joli et les assiettes étaient bien présentées, avec une très belle mise en valeur des plats, mais la nourriture était en grande partie mal cuite et mal assaisonnée. Les légumes étaient durs. Le poisson était pâteux. La caille était immangeable. Le service était extrêmement lent entre les plats et notre serveur semblait malade ou sous l’effet de quelque chose, avec des sueurs et des frissons.
