Cedar Court Harrogate

Been here before. Nice hotel and convenient for town. This time a one night stay before travelling to the Lakes to get married! Nice clean room, friendly bar and breakfast staff. Good quality buffet breakfast. Overall good hotel

Good location 10 mins or so walk to the centre. Staff were good and we had a nice breakfast. Room was clean but showing signs of age, for example carpet stains, moulding bath sealant etc. it was good to have the option of taking a bath but the hotel (liquid) soap is fixed high on the wall.

No blinds on the windows. Meals in house do not meet my expectation!

We just love yhe staff. They are all, without exception friendly, efficient and approachable.

The room was a twin room on the ground floor, it was very clean and spacious. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Harrogate and the room size was better than others for space (Yorkshire, White Hart, Hilton/Majestic, IHG, Premier, Travel Lodge, George, West Park, Swan (Agatha Christie one!) and many upmarket Airbnb’s so highly recommend. Car parking even with the disability badge I had to pay and I tried to get a late check out via the WhatsApp they send you for all added extras you need. I tried the night before to request it (£10 per hour for every extra hour) ideal for us as we are between hospital and hotel so if we can make a stay more comfortable that’s so much better. However, I didn’t get a response and so we checked out at 11am and was told they were trialling the WhatsApp. After I left it said choose late checkout! Argh!! I couldn’t get afternoon tea for 5 by using that either so we went to Bettys which was great. Highly recommend. This was a great stay except for that WhatsApp! If you stay request these things in person. I’d highly recommend the hotel. Plenty of parking, well kept not dated like many Harrogate hotels. Prices are great. If we had managed to get afternoon tea it would have been £25pp with tea or £28pp fizz the bar has a menu where sandwiches are £9-14 roughly, good selection and bar staff actually all staff were so much better than other hotels. They were 5 star, very helpful, polite and professional. Breakfast was well stocked, items were all very fresh.

I was involved in running events during my stay and had to leave early each morning and unable to take breakfast. I found the staff both friendly and helpful. On our first night my wife found the pillows too hard and these were replaced the next day. I would consider staying there again if I am in Harogate.

Niceroom and lovely decorin the main hotel. Disappointed with the breakfast, watery fruit juice and had to queue 15mins for half a cup of coffee and hot water

The room was very underwhelming along with the tea tray offering. The room was very dark and very basic. The bathroom wasn’t great with the toilet making a funny noise and the bath panel was in total disrepair. For £80+ for the night my husband and I were expecting much more, especially after a wonderful b & b stay in Whitby.

Hotel very comfortable and clean.Enjoyed the meals I had in the Hotel restaurant.

Our room was clean, well stocked and comfortable.All staff were friendly and helpful.

Not sure why we had to pay car parking fee in their own car park!! I don’t understand why they are behaving like Travelodge by only servicing your room on request only??

Wonderful hotel from the beautiful facade and wonderful welcome from friendly staff to the beautiful, clean well appointed room. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent. We were bowled over as we brought our two dogs and are used to getting dingy yet to be updated rooms. Here the dogs were welcomed with a biscuit and the room supplied dog beds, bowls and toys. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was very good and the again service was faultless. Very convenient to the town centre but unfortunately we didn’t have time to explore. We will be back!

Beautiful building from the outside and restaurant is lovely. Rooms and corridors are stuck in the 60’s, I thought I was in The Shining

My only problem was state of the carpet and walls - they had a lot of stains and made me feel uncomfortable. If walls had been repainted or wiped and the carpet washed, I would have felt very comfortable. I paid a higher price than others staying there at the same time, due to the time of booking, which also made the stay less appealing.

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Rooms were ok but bed was small and could’ve been bigger. One thing that lets the hotel down is having to pay for parking on there own grounds.

Food/ service in the restaurant was very good. Room clean & tidy Would have been handy to have a bottle or two of water. Disappointed no gym facilities didn’t check that before booking so my fault.

Best hotel I’ve been to for a long time and the food was good too. And the room was cleaned very well. Staff with a light and helpful.
