THE ISSUE IS THAT LONDON ECONOMICAL VALUE HOTELS CAN BE FULLY BOOKED DURING HIGH SEASON. IF YOU DONT FANCY £400/£500 HILTON ROOM RATES THEN ILFORD IS AFFORDABLE & ACCESSIBLE. EXCELLENT TRANSPORT LINKS INTO CENTRAL ZONE 1. BUS SERVICES CONNECT TO UNDERGROUND GANTS HILL OR TOTTENHAM STATIONS ONLY A 30 MINUTE JOURNEY AWAY. VERY WELL SITUATED. I HAD AN ANNEX ROOM - A9-WHICH IS IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO THE MAIN BUILDING. A-ROOMS ARE REFURBISHED & EVERYTHING WORKED WITH A CONTINOUS SPEEDY WIFI SIGNAL. When I realized this hotel was 28 miles from Stansted Airport, I wanted to cancel the reservation. But I was told I would forfeit the cost. I used a Garmen to drive to this address, but it took me some 30 minutes to find it, due to the crowded, narrow streets. I felt like I was driving in a city in Asia. Staff said I should park my car in the basement, but It took some 20 minutes to back out, with 2 staff members helping. The room was clean, but I would not recommend this hotel.

It was my teenage daughter and my self. Attending to a family wedding near by. As we walked in to our room. My daughter felt she couldn’t breathe. Some strange smell. Very small room plus lots of furniture. We felt claustrophobic. My daughter was very upset wanted leave and wanted me to book a hotel elsewhere. It was getting late in the evening. We just used the bed to sleep. Sheets had some kind of stained. Just couldn’t wait to leave the hotel. Spend time with family members in their home. Not BB again.

I booked for one night stay on my check in receptionist askd for £100 security deposit which I don't understand why, room was smells of some kind of cleaning chemicals smells so strong i couldn't sleep all night, on my check out a lady on the reception said the refund of £100 will take 7 days to get in to my account, very disappointed,

we received a warm welcome at reception, and also all of the members of staff we met were very friendly. the room was basic but clean, also cleaned during our 2 night stay, which we weren't expecting, everything worked as it should. A parking permit was issued and parking was very secure. Hotel about 10-15 minute walk to the train station with many shops and restaurants in-between. They don't offer breakfast but the lady at reception pointed me in the direction of a hotel a few minutes away where being a guest here allows you to get a breakfast there for a few pounds. We chose the Cranbrook because of its cheap price and close to a tube station. All in all for the price you pay it was well worth it

Staff seemed indifferent, and still have a payment pending for 1 night ,was told my card was no good ??and had to pay cash.Woke every morning with another 1or2 lumps/bites that I can only assume was from bed bugs, the only thing going for this place is it's location

Corridors outside room was smelly. Pillows are pointless as nothing to them. Traffic is noisy outside and people banging above you if you’re on the ground floor. Did the job for 2 nights, but still waiting for deposit to be returned from Friday I expected once checked out for it to be returned as they can cancel the charge on their side but looks like I’m going to have to wait nearly a week for it to expire.
