Good hotel, close to station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room a good size, excellent shower. Breakfast adequate with plenty of choice

Breakfast was great, all 3 of our rooms booked had permanent issues with air conditioning and bathroom extraction where they did not work at all, so there was no air flow in the rooms and was hot all weekend. Maintenance came and reset the fusebox but it failed almost straight away after. We were supplied small fans but not great considering the hotel we thought we were booking. Other than that we had a lovely stay but feel slightly let down with the room circulation.

Online says soundproof rooms cant be if you can hear the night club from the 5th floor also there is a washing in the 5 floor as was going off early then 7am. Room needs a good clean dust on paintings in room and light fittings. Staff checking in were awesome, security trued telling me in a night time that was only my name in the room but I was the one the wrote the names but was quickly sorted. Didn't get much sleep come out the room next dat and next door had McDonald's all over the hallway didnt stay for breakfast just wanted leave so left first thing

Breakfast was good, clean room and hotel. Car park they recommend is a good 10-15min walk so just be aware

Had a nice wee break here and although we arrived a bit early we got into our room right away nice touch that ! staff couldn’t have been nicer, our room was clean and comfortable with a really good walk in shower 👍 Have to mention breakfast it was excellent plenty to choose from both hot and cold ! As it has been mentioned before don’t miss out on it really tasty ! All in all perfect stay 👍👍

The staff are the stars here, being extremely friendly and helpful throughout, but the property itself is tired and needing work. Fine for a couple of days if you're out and about and needing a very central hub but beyond that I'd be looking for something a little less rough around the edges. The front desk is shared with the bar but service was quick and friendly at both, with a limited bar selection and light meals available. Breakfast is included, and was fairly good - basic selection of hot items and your standard suite of cereals, porridge, yoghurt, fruit and pastries in a self-service buffet. We didn't have to queue or wait around for anything on any day and staff were helpful and quick in clearing tables to make decent use of the small dining area. Room was usable and cleaned daily but needed repair - one of two towel hooks had partially detached from the wall and couldn't be used, the bathroom door lock was damaged and only usable by force, the threshold strip between the wooden entry area and carpet was missing screws and a trip hazard, and the sofa bed mattress was all springs and no padding. Given its location it's also fairly noisy throughout the day and at night from the surrounding bars, pubs and streets though that's likely an issue with any hotel in the area. All in all, cheap and cheerful for a night or two with a decent included breakfast, but in need of maintenance (and, I suspect, has been for some time). No regrets, but won't be back.

Pros: Great buffet breakfast, exceeding expectations! Good location (right opposite train station), massive windows with views of the city. Shower pressure and cleanliness was great too. Cons: bed bases need sorted. It’s basically a piece of plywood which makes the most annoying noise when you do as much as breathe. Mattress was comfortable enough. We were on the top floor and noise in the corridor wasn’t much of an issue as it seemed to be quiet, but expect to hear anybody walking past as if they were in the room.

Room was great for what we needed. Bed mattress a little uncomfy but a good nights sleep for everyone. Breakfast was fab, with plenty of choice including fresh fruit and a waffle maker.

Room was clean, shower was amazing! and the toiletries. Reception could have been a bit more friendly. Breakfast was good, a good and wide selection of hot and cold items. Location was great. Good to have a safe and tea and coffee in the room. Loved that there was a guy checking people in when we came back late, felt secure because of that

The rooms were cold even with the heating on, the quilts were like tissue paper. My room was a bit run down with scuffs etc on the walls and small holes in the curtains that let the light through early morning. The car park they recommend is at least a 10 minute walk away if you walk fast. Not sure they really think about disabled guests re parking. On returning at night we were stopped at the door and asked for our name and room number and ticked off a list. I couldn’t bring my friend up to my room to lend her a coat as it was freezing and they were staying in a hotel a bit further away. The positive is that it’s in a good location for the bars and apparently the breakfast is really good- but I don’t manage to get to try it due to not being able to get out of my pit in time! This hotel is very expensive and I’m not sure it was worth the amount I paid to be honest compared to what friends had paid for their hotels close by.

Location excellent Hotel has absolutely no security anyone could break into your room There is one guy at night that sits near the entrance but during the day anyone can float around the hotel there is no security to the room floors Also the double bed on one side huge amount of space the other side of the bed is so close to the wall I twice her my foot of the skirting board & the bed isn’t comfortable I know a well known chain whose beds are amazing Also the racket when people come back late at night the doors just BANG shut so that would wake you up The breakfast is good

Great value stop in the city centre right next to the Railway Station. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Room was clean and tidy. Decent size. Comfy bed and sofa. Bar had a basic selection, but very expensive. Staff were friendly Car park discount had only partially been applied by hotel staff so ended up paying more than stated on welcome email
