Mercure Northampton

Good location for the centre of town.

Room was clean and quiet. Reception desk guy was polite and helpful. To be honest I checked in, went out to DJ and got in at 2am. 6 hours kip and checked out. From what I experienced the room was great, bed comfy, loo and shower were useful and the whole stay was hassle free. Only gripes are the parking charges and the lifts have a mind of there own when you think you can get to the ground floor via floor 7, 6, 4 and 1 when you started on floor 5. All in all a decent hotel.

Air con great. Clean and relatively quiet. Some carpets were in need of attention for stains

Perfectly placed for the Derngate. Staff amazing especially the lovely lady attending to us at breakfast. Excellent breakfast.

Decent breakfast choice and good staff

It was ok the carpets are old and dirty. They wouldnt let us perform late checkout unfortunately so loses credits for that, then the staff were too bust to serve coffee in the morning...

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, good bar and close to town

Great stay, lovely room. Drains were a little smelling, but bearable. Easy check-in.

Very Friendly and helpful and clean rooms and comfortable

Have stayed here before and can recommend this hotel. Good rooms, very comfy beds, ample parking and a good location if you want to walk into town. Only thing I would say is that the reception staff on the day and at checkout need to make guests more aware about the parking charge process. We checked in and added our registration and even asked the lady if we had done it correctly. So it was obvious we had a car. She said nothing about how we should pay for this. On checkout a different lady asked if we wanted a printout of our bill. I declined. But again at no point was the parking mentioned. It was only when I checked my card before leaving that I noticed it was only for the room and nothing for car park so had to go in and pay. Could have been costly!

All ok

The hotel bathroom was not as clean as it should be expected. No slippers offered even though a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was not worth the price at all with terrible machine coffee. Staff at reception were very helpful and the bed itself was very comfortable and room spacious and clean

Just felt the hotel fell below the standard we would expect for this level of hotel. Some of the basic items were missing in the hotel room. The breakfast was ok and the food lukewarm

We just used the hotel to sleep. Pretty well located for our needs (the rugby). Clean, tidy, well maintained. Buffet style breakfast ok. It did its job.

Beautiful stay very clean

Business trip for a few days. Car park can get busy but always manged to park. Hotel staff friendly. Food was good. Beer a little expensive. Nice rooms with air-conditioning. Very nice with the current heat.
