Trivelles Regency Nottingham

Check-in - painfully Slow... Insisted on charging a £50 "deposit" at check-in that wasn't mentioned at the time of booking, then after reluctantly paying by card and SEEING THE GREEN TICK AND APPROVAL CONFIRMATION on the terminal screen, the receptionist claimed it hadn't been successful, and I'd need to pay it again (which I refused to do). In the one small lift, the button for the Ground Floor was taped over with the message "Not Workig" (sic) meaning the only way to get back to the ground floor and exit the building was down a rough worn stone staircase, that had lights controlled by sensors that did not detect a person until they were half way down. I WOULD CONSIDER THIS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. when mentioned to the receptionist the response was a dismissive "we know"... I have enjoyed good stays at other Trivelles branded properties elsewhere, but sadly this one fell some way short of their standard.

Awkward check in. Poor shower. Low water pressure. Poor TV reception. Poor black out due to curtain fittings.

Was ok, lift didn’t work tiles were broke bed felt too slimy

The room they assigned the power didn’t work and when I requested help we had to keep going down to get the receptionist because she wasn’t doing anything about it

The room was horrible The people was smoke 🚬 a bad ( drugs) Alarm was on and off no stop in the corridor and room People shouting We was park our car next road they said its safe when wake upmthe morning car windows wash smashed

The staff member who checked me in was very abrupt, didn't seem interested. Lift was broken, so I had to get the lift to the first floor and use the slippery concrete steps down to the ground floor. Room was freezing cold; heating was broken and the room had no radiators.

Great value for money!

Clean decent rooms and amenities for the price. Staff were accommodating and supportive. Less than 10 mins away from the Medical Centre so perfect for short stays. The small kitchen corner was a plus.

When we went to check in The receptionist asked for ID, I ask a couple of questions 1, why do you need that, which he didn’t answer that, 2, what will you be doing with the information on the card, will you be sharing this with, how long will it remain on your system before it’s destroyed, I did show him my ID and he took a photo of it on his mobile phone, the heading did not work in the room and a sliver sticker had been place over part of the control, there was broken floor tiles in the toilet with sharp edges, the chair in the room had a big cut in the left arm, I took a pillow of the top of the wardrobe which had a massive stain on it,

Room spotless; really great building; had everything that I needed

The bedding was not clean, we as the guests had to change our bed sheets at 1:30am with very little help from the receptionist. Metal sticking out of the mattress. Noise disturbance from other rooms and a party going on outside the hotel. In addition, despite mentioning upon check in that my friend has celiacs disease, the breakfast given to us had gluten. If had she had not questioned this, she would have been incredibly poorly. When trying to discuss this politely with the hotel manager, we were brushed off, handed a piece of paper and told to email our complaint.

Everything at this hotel just seemed cheap. Good breakfast though!
