Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Our room was lovely and clean. Shower in the bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was busy but plenty of tables and staff to ensure everything was available. Lovely choice of food for breakfast, hot and cold, the bread was still warm, it was thst fresh.

The hotel is attractive and comfortable and very well located. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel, including to the Tokoinranta Ascension Day parkrun which was the reason for our visit. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location. The best staff I have ever had and i do travel a lot! Beds are a bit small and rooms too. It is very big and finding your room can be a challenge at first.

Did not like escalating breakfast charge the closer one got to checkin, not the highest charge at the door. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Otherwise the hotel is good.

This was a fine stay, good location. We didn’t want to pay $19E each for breakfast so skipped that. We did early check in for $20E at 1:00 but heard them tell someone later if you wait til 2:00 they’ll let you check in early for free.

Great location in central Helsinki right next to the train station which was perfect for my trip. Restaurant was a bit expensive and I do wish breakfast was an amenity - I went elsewhere each morning. Another downfall was being charged 30 euros for checking in early. After traveling for 20 hours I just needed to lie down and take a shower. I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before the published check in time and even though my room was ready you still get charged. I’ve never had that happen before

No phone in the room - when I tried to call them to get a password for the internet on my mobile it rang out - so a walk down to the front desk that should have been offered at the outset - or on a sign or card in the room. No tissues in the bathroom - the cleaners neglected to refresh the tea bag supply or wash the cups. Little things that add up to an ordinary review. On the upside the shower was great, the bed comfortable and the sauna a delight.

The Scandic Grand Central was in a great location for exploring Helsinki. It is right next to the main train station and close to tons of sights and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was great. Our room was on the small side, but we signed up for the cheapest option, so that's to be expected.
