Art Hotel Eiffel

This hotel is badly maintained, but what was most disturbing was its disregard for guest safety—and Expedia’s apparent failure to take reported safety hazards seriously or act on them. Our room had scratched floors, damaged walls, and worn doors. The most serious issue was the shower. It uses a two-panel folding glass door system, but one panel was missing. While I was showering, the remaining glass door came off its track and fell on me. Fortunately, I wasn’t seriously injured, but it easily could have been much worse. I reported the incident to the front desk at approximately 4:00 p.m. before leaving for dinner. This should have been treated as an urgent safety issue. When I returned after midnight, nothing had been done. The broken door had not been repaired or removed—it was simply left leaning inside the shower, creating another obvious hazard. The next morning, as I was leaving and my taxi was waiting, I reported it again. The only solution offered was to change rooms immediately if I packed all of my belongings. There was no urgency and no meaningful acknowledgment that a guest had been struck by a falling glass door. I also contacted Expedia expecting them to intervene or advocate on behalf of a customer reporting a serious safety hazard. Instead, I found their response equally disappointing. so its a very nice hotel local to transportation and so many restaurants. problems: 1. AC is horrible in the room. barely works 2. the doors to the rooms are heavy and slam very hard. woke me up and kept us up from 6am with ppl coming in & out of their rooms 3. biggest issue is they charged us 150 euros more than what expedia had on our reservation. they did refund us the next day when I brought it to their attention but shouldn't have happened.

The room was pretty beat up but clean. Great location, close to Eiffel and louvre and lots of food options.

The person on duty when I checked in, upon hearing that I was there for work, very kindly gave me a room facing the courtyard and away from street noise (fears of big World Cup noise the night before a big meeting). So I appreciated that! I booked this hotel because of proximity to my meeting, to the Metro, and they promised air conditioning during a heat wave. There was air con, but it really was an old unit and was hardly working. Place was clean and otherwise well appointed. Overall a good stay.

The room was clean, the staff was kind and helpful, the breakfast was enjoyable, and the air conditioning worked well.

This is not 3 star property worth 250 a night. Not even 1 star. Staff were nice and location is prime, but other than that, old rooms, broken AC, old coffee machines, rooms still have manual keys (in this day and age) and you cannot sit on the toilet without bumping into shower. Paris hotel rooms are generally small, but this one sets the bar to the lowest. You could get a Hilton 4-5 miles out at 50 dollars less, better deal. Don’t get catfished by reviews in Expedia - lots of paid reviews. Definitely not worth the stay.

We had requested family room thru Expedia for a family of 4. Instead of one room, we were given two rooms opposite of each other rather than adjacent rooms. Not sure if that is Expedia’s fault or property’s shadiness. The bathroom was very small and had no exhaust. Also, the shower had only one door and when asked the front desk his reply was that’s how it is in Paris. Checked the other room and asked the adjacent guest. Guess what? They all had two doors! We had free breakfast included but no vegetarian options. They didn’t even have basic food such as sliced bread or jelly or fruits. They had dry fruits like dates, etc. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location! Walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and the train station with two lines right across from the hotel. We got a room with an Eiffel Tower view and it was absolutely gorgeous at night. The beds were comfortable. Very nice breakfast. Really safe neighborhood with a street with many shops and restaurants right around the corner.

The location is great, what made me rate it low are the employees. The receptionists on May 15 2026 at 5am is condescending. The way he communicates with us is condescending when we we're trying to check out. It seemed like we woke him up from sleeping, all the lights we're off, his hair is messy and the demeanor is unprofessional. The room smelled like vinegar and pungent and ask if we can transfer room when we checked in, but the receptionist said no, nothing we can do. We can just leave the room and give money back. Again, location, great! Staff, bad.

Based on our experience, the lack of professionalism and the poor state of the facilities make it feel significantly lower than its official category. *Service and First Impressions* Our arrival set the tone for the rest of the stay. The lobby appeared dated and not particularly clean. We were greeted by a disheveled receptionist with his wrinkled shirt half-untucked, who barely managed a "Good afternoon" and a curt "Passports." When we politely requested a second keycard, he didn't say a word; instead, he programmed it with a visible gesture of annoyance. There was no welcome, no explanation of the hotel’s amenities, no directions to the room, and zero information regarding breakfast. We went to the desk to ask a question, and it was empty. After 15 minutes, the same receptionist arrived in a rush, holding a sandwich in one hand and a phone in the other, having a loud and heated argument with someone. He made us—and a family waiting to check in—wait until he finished his call before treating everyone with the same indifference we experienced on day one. *Room Condition and Maintenance* The room was in a state of neglect. The flooring was peeling throughout, as well as the bathub. Air conditioning was another ordeal.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel with our family. The room was very clean, comfortable, and perfect for us, especially traveling with kids. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and always helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the great service and felt very comfortable during our visit. Highly recommended for families!

The room looked like a room for a late check out guest room. Used furniture and appliences. The door was forced and the lock loose, it did not give me much confidence to stay in to be honest, but location is perfect. I have stay in other hotels in Paris for the same price but much better. The noice from the street, metro and people validating their metro passes are annoying and constant. Not relaxing at all.

AMAZING AFFORDABLE HOTEL!! Great Location!!! Walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the subway is right across a small one way street. Right next door to an amazing coffee shop, a few doors down from McDonalds, a Grocery store, an awesome bakery, Starbucks, a pharmacy, and loads of trendy restaurants. The location is superb! Being able to walk to the Eiffel Tower & the Siene River is EVERYTHING!! The receptionist was super friendly & kind & made us feel very welcome & comfortable. Skip the hotel breakfast, it’s super lame & really not worth the money, the cofffee is hospital vending machine quality. The rooms, well it’s like staying at your aunt Linda’s spare bedroom. It’s practical. The bed is comfortable & the windows do open for fresh air. We had a great view of the Eiffel Tower tip…lol!! If you’re looking for a super comfortable, convenient & safe place this is for you! If you need more bling the Four Seasons is only 4K a night & you really need to change your price range in your search parameters! By the way we both work for a major airline and have travelled to over 50 countries…so trust us this hotel is a great place if your visiting Paris for a short time..probably wouldn’t book more than 4 nights here.

Prime location, great view of the Eiffel Tower and right in front of the metro station. Large choice of dining options nearby and short walk to the touristy spots. Cant ask for anything better

Convenient, the metro is right across from the hotel. Eiffel tower is two stops away from the train station. It is by Rue de Commerce which is a shopping area. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are very helpful.
