It was a wonderful stay here for my birthday. I received a complimentary cake and simple towel decorations. The room had a view of the National Monument (Monas) and a wide selection of breakfast options. The staff was very friendly. I hope to stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Jakarta.

I was so happy to stay at Merlyn Hotel. When I booked, I requested a city view, and it turned out to be exactly what I requested. I even got a free room upgrade, so the room was more spacious and I could smoke inside. The amenities were also complete, some in bottles and some small amenities in individual packages. I happened to choose a room with a bathtub so I didn't have to bother moving soap around. The pool was also comfortable, there was an indoor pool, so the kids could swim without worrying about getting too hot. The breakfast was quite complete and had a lot of choices. What made the kids happy the most was the cotton candy and playground corner. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay here. From the room, view, facilities, to breakfast, everything was great, especially for those with kids. It will definitely be one of the hotels we will consider for another staycation.

The ice bucket doesn't use an ice cooler, just a regular bowl. The ice cubes are large, not cube ice, making it difficult to fill glasses because they stick together and are large. To scoop out the ice, you don't need an ice tong; you just use a dinner spoon.
