Always a pleasant experience. The courteous staff offered us an early check in without us even asking.

Location. The hotel is in a great central location. Easy to get to all of the things going on in the Zona Romantica. The staff was nice. The rooms were clean, but fairly minimal. We changed our room from a standard to a balcony. The standard was quite dark. The patio was very nice and a good place to hang out by the pool and also after hours at night. It was a nice place to come back to after a busy day of adventuring and moving about town.

The room was clean, though quite small. The staff members are always friendly and helpful.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Wonderful pool and food/bev service. Clean rooms, great hot water and cool AC. Rooms are on the smaller side but ideal for solo traveller who plans to be outdoors! Easy check in and out and fantastic location!!

Room was the same as always, nothing special. Was a tad musty. I honestly stay at this hotel for location and amenities but lately they just aren’t it anymore. The staff has been not the friendliest when just allowing my friends up to my room for 5 seconds to grab my stuff, made it very hard and difficult to get day passes, and to pay for a night for my friend. I understand its December, but there’s a better way to speak to my guest and I then like we are prisoners. Alejandro was the best attendant, front desk person ever! He made my questions simple to be answered, offered me water when I needed it, and just treated me and my guest with the upmost respect. Alejandro at Playa as my server is always the best and he is my favorite! Always keeps my drinks full, makes sure i am taken care of, and i will always come back for them! Power outage didn’t happen this time! Yay! Ac works, and the room is just really musty from the water. That is honestly my only bad remarks. Been coming to PV for over a decade and love this hotel because of the adults only. Very quite. Location is amazing. This time just the service was not great.

Clean, quiet, nice and friendly staff☺️

Very quiet and clean environment. Maids were super sweet and left cute towel animals every day which I liked. Staff were so kind and caring. Roof top bar was awesome and the food was delicious. Enjoyed the pool. Overall wonderful experience

Rooms need up dating like the others

Great location and clean which are the most important features. They could try a little harder at selection and service at the pool and not rely on the sister hotel for all the good stuff. I would stay here again but with the understanding that most of your time is across the street where there are more staff and service.

Nice room if a bit compact, quiet, AC worked fine, room was clean, location was great.

We've stayed at Casa Dona Susana a number of times over the years and usually had a very good experience. This time our experience was a bit mixed. The management has made some welcome improvements to the hotel since the last time we visited, including upgrading the poolside amenities. They have let some of the facilities basic infrastructure degrade, however. For example, when we arrived the in-room safe wasn't functional so it had to replaced while we stood there and waited. Not the most welcome development after twelve hours of travel. Then our keys stopped working. This happened no fewer than seven times during our weeklong stay, and not because we were rubbing our keys up against our phones--although, even if we had, it's 2025, and this really shouldn't cause a problem. Everytime it happened, the second key wouldn't work, which sometimes meant one of us was left stranded at the hotel waiting for the other person to return so that we could have both keys remade at the same time, which was a huge inconvenience. Bottom line: the lock and key system is clearly old and increasingly dysfunctional and it needs to be replaced. It shouldn't take a negative review such as this to prompt the managers of a supposedly four star hotel to become aware of the problem and act on it.

Our room was very small and the hotel is very authentic but overall the location is excellent. Walk out the door to everything you need. Lots of restaurants within a minute. All kinds of stores. Was quiet at night with great AC.

We love staying here. Rooms with the balconies are renovated and spacious. Other rooms have just enough space if you’re spending most of your time at the beach. Not a lot of room to move around, however, clean and comfy.

We had a lovely stay! The area was safe, and the hotel was clean. We had and all inclusive package we purchased from Expedia which also included our plane tickets as well. We ate all our meals at the beautiful sister property Playa Los Arcos which had the restaurant at their Resort. It was a short walk to get to the neighboring property across the street and wasn't a problem at all for us each day. The air conditioning was great in our room and our bed was comfortable. I will mention that the room is small but it was absolutely sufficient for us to sleep and shower. There also is a pool on the 4th floor, which also has lounge chairs for relaxing. There's also an area to eat and get drinks up by the pool on the site. The Beach views were great from the sister property and I also was able to order drinks while lounging at the beach as part of my all-inclusive package. We had a great time and on Saturday the hotel included a free performance while we ate dinner . I also highly recommend the rhythms of the night show as well which has nothing to do with this hotel but was a wonderful experience.
