We loved our stay at The Old Town Chambers in Edinburgh. Centrally located on the Royal Mile, it's directly across from the beautiful St. Giles Cathedral. Superb for sightseeing and walking! Housekeeping serviced the room every day. It was clean and bright (with three huge windows)! The furnishings, and kitchenette amenities made it very comfortable, and relaxing, and a nice place to “come home” to, after a long day of walking and exploring. It wasn’t the usual soulless hotel room, which we really appreciated! The one thing I would caution against, is using the washer/dryer combo, especially if you’re short on time! It took 3-4 hours to do a small load of laundry! Someone from the front desk came up to help us, as we thought we might be doing something wrong. After looking at it, and fiddling with the buttons, the kind gentleman told us that's how it is, unfortunately! It just takes a long time! The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful. They even offered us umbrellas one rainy morning, as we were heading out for the day! Oh, and the hotel does have an elevator! Such a wonderful sight, when your feet are burning from walking up and down what seems like10,000 steps! 😊 We loved Edinburgh, and The Old Town Chambers, and would highly recommend this hotel. We’d very happily stay here again!

I've traveled all around the world and stayed in all kinds of hotels. This one was one of the worst stays I've ever had. The room was nice and location was convenient however everything in the room was broken. We had to call 3 times to fix the washing machine, the dishwasher was also not working along with the safe needing new batteries. (That was the only easy fix). The heat wasn't working when we got there and it took over 7 hours and multiple people to get it going. It's winter and it was cold!!! Never once did i get an apology for all of the inconveniences. I asked to speak to a manager and they wouldn't even have one call me. The walls are paper thin here so if you like staying up until 3 am when the shouting from the street stops, then you will enjoy this place. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy.

Our TV never worked. We repeatedly asked the front desk staff and were told that maintenance would stop by. They never did. Also, we asked several times for help with the washer/dryer combo unit but inquiry was met with confusion as to the "brand" by hotel staff. Room was ok, but not worth the price.

Perfect place to stay right on the Royal Mile. Amazing staff, incredible rooms and great service. Rooms are clean, spacious and modern and though the layout takes just a bit to get used to - I loved the historic feel of the hotel. Absolutely would stay here again.
