Room service wasn’t good. They just had 2 water bottles and I had to call and keep on asking for water and wait for hours. There’s loud noise all the time from their downtown staging. The rooms aren’t sound proof. People in the next room was so loud and noisy all the time and I couldn’t even get a good sleep. The mini fridge wasn’t working and many electric sockets were not functioning. I had to use the hairdryer and water heater on the table. They shampoo and was terrible. I checked out from shangri la and came here and I couldn’t even change or cancel because expedia doesn’t allow changes after checking in. And I regret this stay deeply. Wasted my money here.

We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and were checked in at the Club Lounge, where the service has been consistently exceptional. The Club Lounge team especially Upeksh, Prasanna, Wasantha, Damith, Dilshan, and Chain — have been outstanding throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good, and overall the staff are friendly and attentive. However, I observed several issues that should be addressed. Internal communication between departments needs significant improvement. On multiple occasions, despite informing the team that we extended our stay, both my wife and I received repeated calls and had our keys disabled twice. This happened four times, and we did not receive an appropriate personal apology, which is expected from a five-star property. Additionally, some minor health and safety concerns and inaccuracies in menu descriptions were raised, but no one followed up to confirm whether these were being addressed. Acknowledgement and feedback are essential in maintaining professional standards. Overall, we are still staying at the hotel and would recommend it, especially due to the excellent Club Lounge service. However, operational consistency and communication need to be improved. We stay in Cinnamon Grand every time we visit SriLanka. We love the set up with the lobby and the rooms.The rooms are clean well maintained and comfortable. Staff from the lobby,managers ,staff who clean the rooms are all very friendly ,courteous and professional in their jobs.They make us feel at home every time we come . I have no reservations in recommending this hotel to any one planning to visit Colombo.

Great service , great restaurants

Staff was very helpful. It is connected to a mall which has an ATM which is convenient. There was a wedding going on so a lot going on during check in time but the staff was very quick and attentive to checking me in. My only complaint was the noise happening outside, not sure if from a nearby club but I could hear loud music. Other than that. Great stay!

Large comfrotable hotel with gym pool and seceral food options. Ate at Cheers, which I do not recommend, but the buffet breakfast and evening meals at Pkates were good
