Hotel Le Stelle - self check-in

Biggest issue was so many stairs Wish I had known this in advance...although maybe I didn't read the description well enough Great location

The location was perfect. The room was fine, but could have been cleaner. We never met - or saw - any of the staff, which was fine. There was no view - our room looked out over a narrow alley. But the view wasn’t important to us. If you want a central location for sleeping and showering, it’s perfect.

Hotel is in great location. Superior room was good due to large bed. There was no wardrobe, nor shelves for clothes

No staff , 100% self /automted, no information where to store luggage post chk out etc., low rood room make room very clustofobic, winows inside so no natural light, reaching propery was difficult due to no signae, Lift from first floor therfore luggage carrying is difficult, Excellent Location

Great for the price and great location. The room was small but had everything I needed, and its right downtown, close to a restaurant, a grocery store and water fountain. Its a 10 min walk or less from the train. Great shower and hair dryer. I contacted the property for the wifi info and they helped me quick as well

very easy checkin. Owner at restaurant was helpful too. They cleaned the room every day. Bathroom and room was clean. Small but efficient room. Comfortable bed.

Basic simple lodging which is all I needed.

The hotel is located above an Asian fast food restaurant. There is no reception. The building was not clean and the rooms were basic - hostel like. The pictures and positive reviews are very misleading. I would not recommend the hotel.

It’s self check in so we didn’t have direct contact with any of the staff, but it was the perfect place and perfect location for a short trip. Beware, it’s a very thin mattress with a very thin bed in case you don’t like hard beds

Our hotel room had not been completely cleaned from the previous guest. The room was visibly unclean; specifically, we found soiled personal contraceptive items left in the open. It is clear that a thorough deep-cleaning of the surfaces did not occur between stays. When flagged to the restaurant staff (because there are no hotel staff) the only thing they could do was contact the hotel manager. Nothing was followed up on and we were not able to discuss anything with hotel representatives. The keycard system didn’t work, keycards continuously stopped working and new ones were needed to be requested from the check in machine numerous times. Those we discussed the cleanliness of the room with noted that there had been issues with the keycards assigning to the incorrect rooms. This worried us on the security of our room. Additionally, we were told after we arrived hotels in the area are part of a tourist discount that can provide better rates for some attractions and includes free public transport. This hotel either doesnt participate or did not provide the information. There was no hotel staff to verify whether or not they do. We strongly discourage someone looking for hotels in Lucerne to stay here.

The property does not have any staff on site. Our room did not have any running hot water for both nights we stayed there. Despite multiple attempts via phone calls and messages on the Hotels.com app, we could not reach any hotel staff. The restaurant staff have no idea how to help with the property. The main front door is left unlocked all night, so anyone can access the property and the first floor door which should only allow access to hotel clients is also open all day. Other residents were very noisy with banging doors late at night. The windows do not provide soundproof sleep either, so we noticed road noises from 4am as delivery trucks access this part of the cityz

Great location and decent-sized room, but not set up for business travel. No iron, no steamer (but a hair dryer?!?) and no suitable chair or table aside from tiny wooden pieces almost suitable for schoolkids. Bed was quite hard. Having at least a steamer and a decent chair would be easy fixes to make this place much more suited for travel, particularly given that in Switzerland business attire tends toward the more formal.

Great location as near all the restaurants and bars by the lake, but odd to book in and out without speaking to anyone. Was very efficient but not sure what to do if anything goes wrong.

Nice room, didn’t get a travel card, bathroom was nice, good shower, staff didn’t text back so we had to call, chill vibes, bed was really big

Le coffre-fort ne fonctionnait pas, j’ai demandé de l’aide mais d’autres chambres avaient le même problème; on m’a dit qu’on aurait trouvé une solution mais j’ai jamais eu de retour. Le ménage est aussi fait un peu à la va vite, on trouve pas mal de cheveux longs et poussière au sol.

Yes and staff in particular housekeeping staff was really kind and helpful

Super convenient location in the old town with easy self check in. Great Japanese restaurant on the first floor. Would definitely stay again.
