Inn at the Quay

Easy, love this place, great view.

Inn at the Quay has many lovely features. Each room has a balcony which is angled to get some glimpse of the Fraser River. There is a big desk, and a bath. Lots of storage. There are cafes along the boardwalk. You can walk to the skyrail, though it is not " just across the street " as the hotel website states. The best way to access the hotel from the skytrain is to exit at the most south end and find the overhead bridge, then the elevator up and down to Quayside Drive. You can also walk up and over the footbridge, next to the lovely Irish pub Lots of steps, very tall bridge to allow for huge trains. Or along the boardwalk and then across the tracks. Then up to the next parallel street, turn left and cross near the Utish pub, a little walk up hill and there is the New Westminster Skytrain station. We got lost on the way, and also had a 15 minute wait to walk across the tracks. The staff at reception were mostly great. We were met when we arrived by a "Basil Fawlty type person. He was not very helpful. But we checked in fine, and he did give us ideas for places open late for dinner. He told us about the Irish pub that has a kitchen that only closes at 11.30pm. We also received a little bag of eatable goodies and another one as we checked out 5 days later. Perhaps it was because we stayed 5 nights The Skytrain is a great way to get into the city. And connects directly to the line out to the airport

Always a great stay at the Inn at the Quay!

Great hotel to stay in. Lovely location, great restaurants, shops and promenade.

It was great, probably the best hotel in the city!

Discounts for nearby restaurants were very helpful. Fresh fruit and vegetable market half a block away was fabulous.

Clean room

This is such a unique hotel. I had a gorgeous 180 degree view of the river from my room and the bed was so comfortable that I just wanted to hang out all day. I appreciated the kind staff and the welcome gift. I have already recommended this stay to several people.

Location

This was our third stay at the Quay. Wonderful location, love the view of the river. The staff are always genuinely friendly and welcoming. We really enjoy staying here when we come to New West. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, pillows are amazing! Bathroom is clean and well stocked with towels etc. Only wee downside was a new bar right across the way that was quite loud.

Good location and nice surrounding. Room is clean and comfortable enough. It charged $17/day for parking. Kinda expensive.

Good service and polite staff

Allowed me to check in early and room was very comfortable.

Very spacious King corner room with balcony over the water. Comfortable beds, very clean, mini fridge is quite big and handy for storing food items, balcony lovely for morning coffee. Excellent location, next door to a small market, and just a 5 min walk to train station with a Safeway, Shoppers, and many restaurants. Only lost one star because sound proofing not the best, we could hear the next room’s television until 1:30 am (don’t think it was really that loud) and there is a TikiBar next door on the pier which can be a noise disturbance to light sleepers on a weekend night if your room is on that side. I was good with ear plugs but if you can’t sleep with any noise, I would suggest a room on the other side of the building. Other than that, I would definitely stay again and do recommend this hotel.

The night reception gentleman was unbelievable. I had flown in to deal with a passing of family and he was so kind when I was coming in late

Exceptional riverfront views of Fraser River and extremely convenient access to local eateries, many which were located "right next door" on the boardwalk. Very reasonable room rates with an upscale vibe and yet a very personable, "down-to-earth" staff who were very helpful. The walk along the boardwalk was fantastic with exceptional views of the river leading to a small park.

Great location

The room was really nice. Clean. Nice size bathroom with plenty of lighting. The only drawback to the room was that the TV sat on top of the dresser, which was at an angle and distance making it difficult to see and hear, unless one turns up the volume. Parking was great. I stayed in a lot of hotels, and this was the first I can remember that had ample size stalls. Plent of room.
