Great hotel, service and breakfast!

All good except the family room was too small for 2 double beds

This is a great hotel clean and central but most of all lovely staff who are professional and efficient but also kind and friendly which makes for a relaxed atmosphere. It might be a bit dated in decor but it’s still smart and well looked after. I’ve been several times and would always stay here if in York

Everything was good except the wifi didn't work. The staff knew about it, but not really much they could do. We like the location and were able to get to all the tourist attractions by foot. It's worth buying the breakfast buffet the night before it, will save you 5 pounds. It's not the best buffet but is very convenient. Ask for a castle view room when booking.

Easy hotel to spend one night.

Satff friendly helpful very welcoming, improvements going on within the hotel as a little dated for a hilton but clean and tidy never the less. Breakfast buffet was spot on had a selection of everything delicious. Room are ok again clean and tidy ideal beds not so comfortable mind. Location is bang on city centre about 10 min walk from the train station. There is a car park first come first serve basis but a car park directly across if it was full which is good to know. Overall this was a pleasant weekend trip would stay again.

nice hotel. good 4 star for york. friendly staff. amazingly well kitted our gym. morning breakfast was v good even during v busy times.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The hotel was amazing. No problems at all. The staff were were nice, friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be back.

We booked a deluxe room and paid £179 for one night and breakfast. We arrived on Friday went to make a cup of tea only one milk and one pack of biscuits in a two person room, we had to ask for more. We went to have a shower and no body wash or conditioner we asked for some to be put in room for next day, but never arrived. Shower head would not stay in position kept dropping down and water pressure poor.

This hotel desperately needs refurbished. Shower rubbish, bathroom very dated. Air con not working had to get maintenence to fix but still was poor.Tower veiw but couldnt see out of window as double glazing unit is shot. Wouldnt stay again. No fridge no milk.

Very friendly, helpful staff. The valet parking was easy and convenient. Our room had been recently refurbished so it was in great condition. Comfy bed, plenty of storage and surface space to put all our toiletries etc. However, the bathroom disappointed slightly. Although clean, and part of a refurbished room, it had a shower over a bath. I would have preferred a walk-in shower. Just a personal preference, but I suspect it may be more popular than a bath for lots of people. Great breakfast! Just a short walk into the city centre, I highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in York.

Hotel conveniently located for shopping and visitor attractions. Rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast provided a good range of food items. The room contained a large TV screen but lacked a fridge.

Excellent location. Very friendly and efficient staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable but just a little on the dark side. Lighting in room could be improved. Breakfast excellent!

The service was superb with polite and friendly staff, the room wss a disappointment, dull and with little comforts, no mirror for make up little things thst spoilt the experience the toilet seat didnt fit the toilet too small crazy!but there it is , the shower head wont stay up the extractor fan didnt work and the bath didnt drain so a shower became a paddle. The breakfast was brilliant but £30 per night for car parking a little steep.

Reception staff were terrible. We completed paperwork on arrival and they said they would text when the room was ready. We came back to the hotel at 4.30pm and it took 15 minutes to sort out a room, I had to show them my email confirmation etc, not sure what happened but whatever we took time to do earlier had disappeared. The next day we checked in our bags and when wr returned they took our tickets and came back after a good 10 minutes with 1 holdall, not as described. I had to go to the baggage room myself as they bags could not be located by the staff. Room was ok, bathrooms are awful. Staff in the bar and at breakfast are absolutely fantastic 10/10
