A nice hotel with helpful staff

Room and board was fine. The car park was a bit tight with limited space. If you are an EV driver then there are two charging spots but they are not policed and one was blocked by an ICE so don’t rely on it being available. There was also no trolly available to shift luggage which was a shame. Otherwise a nice hotel well situated with friendly staff.

Great stay in a family room. Very spacious for the 4 of us. Clean room, staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.

Great stay at this hotel, great value

I hurt my ankle upon arrival and the receptionist was very helpful. She fetched me an ice pack and antiseptic wipes. Her kindness was very much appreciated. The room was perfect and so was the breakfast. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Hotel was ok and breakfast basic. Beds comfy but soundproofing between rooms very poor. Speaking to another guest who had very noisy Air con in their room. Front of house staff terrible about sorting his issues due to no continuity of staff doing shifts. All in all my stay was ok but staff very poorly trained, but that's what you tend to see in the low paid service sector in some hotels (not all). Coming back to York in a month and won't be using this hotel again.

Great location, comfy beds

We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. It's a simple, no-frills place with basic amenities, but it delivered exactly what we expected. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection to start the day, and the overall experience was great value for money. One thing worth noting for international travellers is that air conditioning isn't a standard amenity in many UK hotels, so it's always worth checking before you book if that's important to you. Also, don't assume there will be a bar fridge in the room, as refrigerators are not commonly provided either. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in a good location without the extras, this is a solid choice.

Good clean accommodation, no issues

stayed on a very warm weekend, the air con wasn't up to the task and was very noisy. the room was nice, compact but perfectly adequate for a bed for the night.

Very nice hotel, staff , facilities. Close to train station 10-15 mins inc crossing road. Modern 4 star hotel & as such lacks character. Room was a good size, shower very good
