What Guests Say About Their Stay

I really enjoyed my stay at Locke at Broken Wharf. The staff is great, there is a coffee shop on site and lots of areas to just sit and relax. The apartment was lovely, comfortable bed, good wifi, great shower. The location cannot be beat, steps from the Millennium Bridge and Saint Paul’s. Great transportation connections being near a Tube station and lots of bus routes. The only downside to my stay was noise from cars racing on the road seem to funnel down and was quite loud with the windows open. Nothing they could do about that but something to note if you are staying on the west side of the building.

I stayed here on a short business trip and was very happy. The room is on the smaller end, but is well appointed and has great amenities. The location is great too; very accessible. I'd 100% stay here again.

The hotel is clean but basic so I think it was over-priced for what it was. That said it is in a great location and the staff were super helpful and super friendly. Probably wouldn't stay again unless the price was right.

Cool place in a great location, right on the water. Loved the living space but felt that the sofa could have been comfier. Check-in was 4pm which meant we had to find some activities to keep us occupied during the day to kill time (my fault as I assumed check-in was generally 3pm). Unfortunately there were two fire alarms in the morning, one of which woke up my partner who wasn't feeling well. The staff were amazingly kind though and gave us a 12pm checkout to help her get some more sleep before our busy day in the city.

Our group had five rooms here. We were not aware ahead of time that the beds were pushed against the wall so inconvenient if there were two people in the room. The halls were very, very dark with a small light above each entry door. The elevator was difficult to operate. The staff was very kind and tried to be helpful. The location was excellent for our needs. The kitchen was well supplied with what we needed.

Loved absolutely everything at this hotel, from their concept to staff (super chill and friendly)! Will definitely stay again and at their other locations. We felt relaxed, welcomed and at ease. The co-working area and cafe were such a nice plus. The style of rooms and hotel spaces is cozy and very user-friendly. Cherry on top is the location (you can even see Tate Modern from some rooms, we did)! The rooms had everything we needed from spacious drawers to an amazing shower (yes, great water pressure!!), and kitchen utensils. The sectioning of the room is well-designed allowing the studio to feel like 2 separate rooms. One tiny detail on design for future Locke locations: it would be amazing to have just a bit more light in the living room (since the reflective film on the windows is darkening the room a bit). Plus, the marble headboard of the bed made us worried we’d hit it at night :) none of this is “essential” but would be an improvement to bring the quality of the stay to 120%

We stayed for 19 nights, so this is a well-informed review. The location is unbeatabl, right on the Thames, stylish design, and a coworking space that’s a genuine highlight. The staff were consistently warm and professional, making a long stay feel truly welcoming. On the downside, housekeeping was disappointing for an extended visit. Over 19 nights, the room was never vacuumed, beds were made, but that was it. For nearly three weeks, it starts to feel neglected. The windows don’t open either, which at times felt quite claustrophobic, a small but noticeable issue on a longer stay. Overall, a lovely property worth recommendin, just manage your expectations around housekeeping.

Horribly dark room with a window facing the underside of a bridge. The lights in the room were effectively useless and the AC/thermostat didn’t work and only display a message to say use main console the room remains at around 24 degrees for the whole of my stay. I logged a query at the reception immedialty to see if anything could be done or I could change rooms. I was told I could move but for an additional cost of £113 (when I’d already paid £160 to stay there). A manager did eventually contact me after about 3 hours and this was via a text message. Poor service and poor, dark facilities. I would not stay here again.

The room was great, the kitchenette well equipped and the view of the river fab. The reason I have given a poor review was I felt the customer service received pre check in was not great. I had booked a room that slept 3 but for 2 people and asked for a second bed to be made up so that my daughter and I didnt have to share a bed. But was told this was not possible via message. When I arrived I asked again and the member of staff on the desk didnt know how to deal with the request or what systems were in place for preparing an extra bed. Eventually en extra put up bed was found and brought to the room at 11:30pm once we had already got ready for bed and given up which felt a bit strange. But amazing location and great room.
