The breakfast buffet was disappointing, difficult to get to and missing some important features. The full breakfast was OK, but not great. The room was great, quiet , quite large and well appointed.

A charming, cosy stay just outside Canterbury’s West Gate, with a great view of the historic entrance itself. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of everything while still feeling slightly tucked away. The room was on the smaller side, but warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, which made the stay feel personal rather than transactional. The standout touch was the happy hour from 6–7pm, with a 2-for-1 cocktail offer paired with a complimentary cheese platter. That alone felt like exceptional value and added a lot to the overall experience. For the price, this hotel offers excellent value. Would happily stay again and recommend to others.

Check in was efficient and the welcome friendly. Room and bathroom were a good size and clean. Unfortunately I had to leave too early to try the breakfast. Hotel is only a short walk from Canterbury West train station and the Marlowe Theatre. The room that I stayed in overlooked North Lane and I would just say that if you're a light sleeper it might be a good idea to have earplugs in case the traffic noise bothers you. I'd happily stay here again.
