The room was clean. The bed was big. The view of Vesuvius was exciting. Located 200 feet from the front of Garibaldi train station. Noisy with the windows open - but quiet with the windows closed. Location was good for seeing the Amalfi Coast and access to trains, buses, subways to explore other parts of the city and the towns of the Amalfi Coast. Take the Campana Express to Sorrento, walk to the Ferry terminal for trips to Positano and Amalfi - buy your own tickets for €30 and spend as much time as you need in these towns (tip: the arranged tours kind of suck b/c you only spend 1 1/2 hours on each stop). Naples is a rough place. The area around the hotel is very safe with many police and military protecting us dumb tourists. Wandering far away from main roads can be intimidating. We saw an elderly lady get knocked to the ground and her purse stolen by a gang of scumbags at 5:00 in the evening. For a fantastic food experience visit Franco’s Pizzeria (black awning) around the corner from hotel. Ask for a table downstairs.

We had a fabulous stay at Starhotels Terminus, Naples. The staff, from the moment you are arrive, are friendly, helpful and informative. The hotel is immaculate, the communal areas are beautifully maintained, comfortable and have an exceptionally relaxing ambience. The room was beautiful. We were lucky to have a Vesuvius facing room which delighted me as that was the main reason for our visit as we were going up to the crater! The room was spacious, comfortable, beautifully clean, we slept so well in the bed and the bathroom was fabulous with lovely toiletries. There was a safe, great space for clothes and shoes, a mini bar and everything you need was available. My only slight disappointment was breakfast. For 15 Euros each, there was a great variety of pastries, cakes and sweet treats that we would not normally eat for breakfast so we ended up with toast as the items we (and probably most brits) would eat like fried eggs or porridge, you had to pay extra for and should really be included in the quite expensive charge. This is not a criticism but hopefully a pointer that the hotel takes on board as we would have eaten there every day had there been more hot breakfast choice that we did not have to pay extra for. Overall, we loved our stay and will stay again as we still have much of Naples to explore!

If you are looking for a place to stay near Napoli Centrale, this is it. There are others around but this is the closest to the station and the most expensive. Otherwise it is just ok, clean, yes but rooms are small, noise transfer between rooms is a lot, amenities are few and don't bother trying to find ice or an iron. Also, if you are an adult, ask for more towels, the ones they give you are just enough to dry one leg.

Food was less than mediocre and dinner service was really slow . Breakfast was large buffet but carrots were ice cold and tasteless . Eggs awful . share to find a place to sit . Hotel is located next to train station which is convenient if you are traveling by train, however it also makes it a very loud area with lots of cars & people. The room & hotel areas are clean, however the a/c could not be manually set in the room and is controlled by the hotel which cannot be adjusted. I prefer my rooms cooler and was told a fan could not be provided. I tried to keep the window open however the street noise was too loud to sleep through. The staff were a bit cold and indifferent. If not for my train schedule, I would stay closer to the historic center for a better Naples experience.

We had a lovely room that was spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and we could choose our pillow type if we wanted. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a deluxe room, which was great as it had coffee making facilities in, which the superior rooms don't. The location was perfect for sightseeing and connections for train and metro. Overall a great stay!

I thought I would write this review as all the others seemed strangely off the mark. This hotel is pretty terrible. Reception was ok but upon arrival immediately started trying to upsell to better rooms and early check in which wasn’t pleasant as you are paying a lot for the rooms already. I would class this as a 3stsr hotel, location is very sketchy particularly at night. People loitering the square, police and army everywhere. The hotel is literally 10mins from the train station drop which sounds good but then you need to factor in the Neapolitan driving. Car horns all night every 10seconds, doesn’t stop. Then you are woken up at 8am by cleaners shouting down the halls continuously, banging and moving furniture like it is police raid. The rooms are shocking things coming off the walls, safe doesn’t work, bed like sleeping on a steel plate. We ordered a queen bed and was literally two beds pushed together with a gap. Sheet situation on beds diabolical. Two sheets and a small duvet not inside each other but on top. So when you get into bed the whole thing falls apart. Gym not worth looking at. The photos are very misleading of the quality of this hotel. Don’t get conned look elsewhere.
