Aside from a couple of rude employees, the overall stay was great.

Great place to stay.

We travel to Guadalajara often, and whenever we do, we enjoy staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Histórico. We've always had positive experiences there, which is why we decided to book a balcony room for the first time during our most recent 4-night stay. We were very excited about having a balcony, but when we arrived, we were assigned a corner room with a limited view. The room felt smaller than expected, and the drapes were partially falling down, which was disappointing. We asked if it would be possible to move to a different balcony room with a better view. The staff informed us that additional rooms would become available the following day. The next day, we were offered a different room with a slightly better view, but there was an additional charge of 500 pesos per night. We decided to upgrade and moved to the new room. While the view was somewhat better, the room itself was about the same size, and in the end, we hardly used the balcony at all. Looking back, the extra cost wasn't worth it for us. The experience felt very similar to staying in a standard room, and next time we'll likely book the regular room instead. That said, we still enjoy staying at this hotel because of its excellent location and our overall positive experiences there over the years.

The rooms are not as clean and well maintained. There was also no hot water and room service could have been better. They claim to have a mini refrigerator but it only keeps drinks room temperature. I was expecting more from this hotel.

The room was clean, small but had a large closet and ample counter space. Nice restaurant with beautiful view. Lots of shopping, good to excellent restaurants and street entertainment. Walkable.

The rooms were very clean, the area was perfect very close walking distance to coffee shop, restaurant the Cathedral and many other things. We did not try the food here but will definitely will next time we are around.

Room didn't have any windows, it was a little claustrophobic and it didn't feel clean. Location was perfect right in the Centro Historico.
