Good service

I was staying there but it was not good. I made a reservation because I could have breakfast but when I arrived at Shilla Stay Mapo Hongdae. I felt something strange when I said I couldn’t have breakfast. I made a reservation at Severance Hospital because l am sick. Shilla Stay staff told me l shouldn’t smoke, so I was very happy, because I have got allergic to cigarettes. I expected no one to smoke. However, I moved to a room first night because of the smell of cigarettes there and l protected many times but the smell of cigarettes still lingered and my cough was everynight and I have never slept peacefully due to headaches and coughs. I asked for a headache pill because I didn’t have one, but they said they couldn’t give it to me. I had a hard time during the two weeks stay. I was encouraged to move only rooms when I complained to staffs. Suffering from cigarettes, I came back unprotected. Due to my health problems, l also got insurance during my stay at Shilla Stay Mapo Hongdae. They didn’t help cigarettes smell. I feel like l just wasted money and l have been living in a cigarettes hell.

Everything was amazing from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. There were no hiccups. Just smooth, professional service throughout our stay. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The location is also great. Very central and convenient for getting to different parts of Seoul. The only area I personally feel could be improved is the room temperature system. The hotel uses a central AC/heating system, so individual room temperature can’t be adjusted based on the season. We visited during winter, and the room felt quite warm, but we weren’t able to turn on the AC to cool it down. The only solution was to open the windows. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the hospitality.

The sheets were not inserted nicely, the duvet was not folded properly, there were stains on the bathrobe, not many places to hang the towel.

직원분들 다 친절하시고 방도 깨끗해서 잘 지내고 갔습니다. 옆 방에서 응급상황 때문에 조금 시끄럽긴 했는데 잘 땐 괜찮았습니다. 홍대처럼 소리 나는 것 싫어하시면 여기 좋습니다. 공항철도도 근처라 편해용

Everything was great

Smell of the toilet every time we entered the room. No Netflix on tv. Otherwise, very spacious and good location.

Clean communal areas, quiet and business friendly. Decent gym facilities. The rooms were on the small side.

The shower often leaked onto the floor from not being properly sealed. They do provide water every day.

Within the span of a few days, I was moved to two different rooms (3rd and 5th) and ended up on the 9th floor, in one of the rooms, where I woke up extremely itchy with rashes and small bite marks. I'm not sure if it was bedbugs??? the hotel Inconvenient location for tourists traveling to Seoul; the walking distance to the bus and train was terrible. There was no coin laundry nearby; the one laundry shop I was referred to close by was beyond overpriced; I thought it was a sick joke. Little things added up; I had a rough time in Seoul because of it.
