Everything was perfect- from check-in to checkout- the food, service, environment, hygiene etc. Number 1 in my books and will be my only place of accommodation whenever I am in Nadi. A big Vinaka Vaka Levu to the staff at the Gateway Hotel.

It was a short overnight stay due to flight schedule. We found the service at lunch slow, even though it was not busy. I asked for a specific type of wine as it was on special and was given something else and charged a higher price, I was told it would be taken off the bill so I agreed to sign it. We went back for dinner, again the service was slow (yes it was busy), we asked for water as soon as we sat down and it never came. I kept having to wave down a staff member for drink service. I went to pay the dinner bill and was told to pay for the lunch time wine, at the correct price, this I did, even though at lunch I was told the wine would not be charged due to being the incorrect one.
