Hotel Faubourg Montreal

Excellent breakfast selection and value for money. Location was also pretty central and large rooms - perfect for families. Our room did run out of body wash and hand soap. We called down to reception three times and still didn’t get a refill. We eventually had to go down ourselves to get some. They said there was no more body wash left and gave us some hand soap. Check-in process was absolutely horrible. The reception who was checking us in was very unfriendly and rude. We had a parking credit from Hotels.com as part of being silver tier members but he would not honour it at first. Kept saying it was not specific to our account even though I showed him our Hotels.com account where it clearly stated our tier and the parking benefit. He eventually begrudgingly gave us the credit and retorted, “ok whatever you say”. Very condescending and inhospitable. It was probably the worst check-in experience we’ve had in a long, long time.

The hotel room was a studio with queen bed. It was great as it had a kitchenette. Parking was expensive and we had trouble getting out of the underground.

Rooms are with day and bedroom. Very nice.

What an amazing stay in the heart of downtown, great spacious suite with ample space met all my travel needs. The breakfast daily was great as well, I will suggest more meat options like bacon, otherwise, had lots of protein options as well. This hotel is close to the best of what Montreal has to offer. Get a transit pass for however long you’ll be there! Super excited I decided to not pay close attention to some of the not so great reviews. Lovely stay!!!

One of the rooms wasn’t as clean mostly in the kitchen, one of the other rooms smelt like cigarette. Personally was a good stay but not the best quality

Disappointed - wouldn’t stay here again. The front desk staff was lovely but the rooms are old and shabby. Terrible smell in the hallway of the third floor. Free breakfast and onsite parking was a plus and the beds were clean and comfortable. But if I need to come to town again I will find another hotel.

L’emplacement est idéal (3 min de la place, 2 min quartier chinois) pour tout faire à pied. Le déjeuner était bon (céréales, toast, gruau, œufs, saucisses, patates, etc) La chambre était propre, assez spacieuse. Vrai frigo/congelateur. Prévoir quand même un 36+tx par nuit pour le stationnement si vous utilisez celui de l’hôtel.

Nice hotel, good breakfast. Good number of restaurants within walking distance The Notre Dame Cathedral is just a quick 10 min walk.

Personnel courtois et service très attentionné.

This a no frills kind of place. Delicious hot breakfast is a huge plus. Unfortunately garage parking is paid, but when you factor it into the room price, it’s not too bad. Great location, walking distance to lots of food and shopping, as well as a few different metro stops. Staff was very friendly and understanding to our travel schedule and needs. Room had a microwave and full size refrigerator. Beds were comfortable, pillows a little hard for my preference. For the price, I’d stay here again.

We stay at Hotel Faubourg Montreal every time we visit Montreal and Laval. The hotel's location is within walking distance of Place de Arts, which is really cool with lots of shops, activities, restaurants, and is a central hub to everything. We love that the parking garage is under the hotel and safe. Yes, the hotel is a little dated, but it is CLEAN, the beds are super comfortable, it's quiet, the rooms are big, and the shower water is hot. Clean towels, hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. The kitchen is convenient with a fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. There is no stove or dishes/utensils; you can request them (not the stove), and they will have you pick up some compostable dishes/utensils from the front desk. All cleaning staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast included is nothing fancy, just easy. Eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, cereal, bagels, toast, cereals, fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, beans (must be a Canadian staple), fresh coffee, etc. For the location and price, it's a great place to rest your head after exploring what Montreal has to offer. We have NEVER had a problem with anything or anyone at Hotel Faubourg. Perfect place to stay if you are catching a concert, a show, attending a festival, or just sightseeing. The area around the hotel is a bit run-down, but you are in the middle of a major city, so it's expected. We have never had any issues with the few homeless in the area.

When we got into the room, 2 lamps didn’t work and they were only able to fix 1 so our room was very dark. There was a baseball sized stain of rust? (I could be wrong) in the middle of the bathtub. The bathroom towels had stains on them. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. There was old chips under the bed (i dropped something and had to look under there). The staff was friendly. but the cleanliness was just awful

Dirty place. I will never go back to a place like that.
