Hotel is very close to Old Montreal, Chinatown and Place des Arts Festival area. Breakfast is basic but good, staff very attentive. Front desk persons were very helpful, service in both English and French.

My husband and I spent six nights in this efficient, well kept hotel. It is excellent for everyone, especially for families traveling with children. There was a full sized refrigerator in our kitchenette and a small microwave which we utilized every day. We enjoyed hot breakfasts with fresh fruits, yogurts, juices each morning and equally important, met some nice people along the way. We appreciated using the laundry room, having a clean batch of clothes to carry us through the summer heat and Montreal jazz festival. Underground parking is available (you can go and come) but we left the car there all six days. Chinatown food stores and restaurants is a block away on Rene Levesque. The staff is welcoming, helpful and always available.

I liked the breakfast and service. The room wasn't at all as the pictures. Furnishings were old, beat, unstable and it looked new and undamaged in the pictures. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

The pictures looked like the room however they did not depict how old and dingy the room and furniture were. The tub was dirty with cracked tiles and the bathroom countertop was worn out. The beds were placed in the living room and there was minimal airconditioning in this room. The furniture was very outdated and worn out. The kitchen counters and cabinets were chipped and some of the cupboards did not have handles. The "office space" appeared to be in the room that should have been the bedroom. While this seems okay, the airconditioning was actually located in this room and was strong enough to cool the side of the room that held the beds. Overall, we were very disappointed by the rooms and the area at nighttime. One block away from the hotel, we encountered several people actively using drugs in the street. However, during the day, we enjoyed the hotels proximity to the historic part of the city.

This is the 4th year that I am staying at this wonderful hotel! All staff have been friendly and helpful. Jaelle has been terrific - I wish I had written the names of all the helpful staff. The rooms are large, with black-out curtains. Every room provides a kitchenette with a microwave, sink, and a full refrigerator. The shower and bathtub have a grab bar. Free breakfast includes fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, hash-brown potatoes, bagels and bread, yogurt, cereal, coffee, milk. Coin-operated washers and dryers near the breakfast room are a useful bonus. The location is perfect to walk everywhere, just 4 blocks to Chinatown and also to IGA and the Complexe Desjardins extensive shopping center, 5 blocks to the Montreal Jazz Festival, and less than a mile to the old French quarter. Note: If your window air conditioner says “controlled remotely,” it means turn on the light switch.

We chose this location for proximity to Montreal Jazz Festival. Was not excited when we arrived, looked pretty sad from street, entrance not welcoming and a few “street people” hanging out nearby. While our room was a large suite, it lacked all kitchen supplies…no plates, glasses, cups, silverware. Probably a theft issue?? The window AC was loud and only in living room area, not bedroom. The bed was comfortable but a LOT of street noise all hours of the day and night. We had issues using our room key card, as did others, to gain entrance into the hotel , the elevator and our room. The stafff was very nice and helpful, my guess is they are doing the best they can with what they have to offer. Overall, we wished we had chosen another location.
