EVERYTHING WAS COOL AND THE STAFF WERE ALL NICE! WENT OUT THEY WAY TO SWITCH MY ROOM FOR ME! INCLUDED BFAST WAS GOOD & FRESH, WISH IT CAME W/MEAT & MORE OPTIONS BESIDES PORK BACON! THE VIEWS WERE LOVELY FROM THE ROOFTOP & WALKING DISTANCE TO THE ARCH, CENTRAL PARK & CERRO DE LA CRUZ! I WILL BE BACK!

The rooftop here was AMAZING, and the included breakfast was a brilliant perk. The staff was so lovely, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was great. Location was peak as well, would recommend staying at El Carmen.

The floor boards were old, tattered, and separating in multiple rooms including mine. The rooms smelled like mold/mildew. The floors had dirt/dust particles. The sheets had a tint to them that made me feel like they’ve been used way too many times. There were multiple moths in my room. There was some sort of water issue and our water stopped working in the middle of the night and we never received an alert or explanation, outside of us walking out to the foyer and seeing maintenance working on what appeared to be a water main break. No apologies from the staff or alternative options to use bathrooms, brush teeth, or shower. Before the water issued the night before we did use the shower and it was great pressure and heating wise… a little too hot if you’re not careful. Also the food was great.

The room was extremely musty. I am pretty sure there is mold in the hotel. It felt like a health hazard.

En este Hotel uno paga la Ubicacion, en cuanto al lugar , ya esta defasado, las camas son viejas y suenan cuando uno se da vuelta, el baño esta "remodelado", tiene lo basico. Todo se escucha, cuesta descanzar temprano. No volveria a ir, buscara una mejor opcion.

The staff was absolutely great and our highlight there - they were friendly, welcoming and helpful! The room we stayed at was very small and the bathroom even smaller, with a shower were you couldn't even stand in straight. Staff was amazing! Very accommodating when we arrived early for checkin. Let us store luggage. Also there’s a beautiful rooftop! The room was clean and looked just like the photos. There wasn’t great air circulation in the shower but the water pressure was great.

We stayed in the triple bed room, which was very nice. There were only two of us (we booked late so it was the last available room) and we had plenty of space. The beds were each a different firmness which could be good for lucky sleepers. The bathroom was updated, the rooftop restaurant served excellent food. The staff at the entire hotel was very friendly. If I were to return to Guatemala, I would definitely stay at El Carmen again. Thank you!!
