Excellent breakfast! Single room not large but big enough. A few bathroom problems needed fixing on my arrival - leaking sink and shower door not shutting, but very receptive front of house staff and fixed within 12 hours of reporting.

The hotel is beautiful and in a prime location, the room was very nice and the bed was comfy. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and accommodating

It was a treat for my husbands 80th birthday and the staff were so lovely. We had champagne, birthday dessert and a card.

Great location and easy walking to all the big sights. Large comfy rooms with everything you need. Great to have a good quality coffee in the room.

The hotel had a makeover since last time I stayed. Was pleasantly surprised.

Will be making a complaint. Noise throughout my stay could not sleep. This noise I recorded. Long term road works I think which we were not made aware of. Can not add a video here

Room was lovely and staff were really accommodating. Kids loved the pool too!

We had high expectations and unfortunately the hotel fell short. Like others we booked for the pool and spa. The pool was out of action, which we were not told about in advance. There was no water in the room. Not enough robes and towels for the number of guests. We ate in the bar but huge delays between courses and although it was a waiter service, it was reactive rather than proactive which created a stressful atmosphere in the room. We went to the bar to get drinks, rather than wait for an order to be taken.

A wonderful stay here for a birthday weekend of exploring in Brighton. Staff were friendly and efficient, the room was lovely and the breakfast was fab!

Absolutely shocking because Hotels.com haven’t correctly documented the room we stayed in.

An impressive old world hotel that has been well modernised, extremely well looked after. Service was faultless as was the cleanliness. Excellent breakfast with beautiful seafront views. We did use the spa however it is a victim of its own success, far too busy, which led to some cleanliness issues. We decided not to use these facilities for the rest of our 4 night stay. The hotel itself we would highly recommend.

I stayed for three nights over a valentines weekend. It was nice enough but not what I expected for the price at nearly £200 per night with breakfast. The breakfast was nice, though limited in choice compared to other similar hotels I’ve stayed in. The hotel itself was clean and well decorated. Our room was small and felt very basic, quite dark with poor lighting and limited toiletries in the bathroom. The pool was smaller than I expected and very shallow, which would be good for children. The sauna, spa and steam room were good. Overall it was ok, and we had a nice weekend, but I’m not sure it was great value for money.

There were no towels for the pool, there were no drinks in the mini bar. There was a very small in dining menu. I was told there was a kids room but when I went back down to use the kids room was told there was no such thing and then my kids got very upset. The parking situation was a bit complicated. The cookies were really nice. I think 4pm Check in is so later when you’re there for 24 hours as my kids and I were outside all day. I was there as a single mum so things like this made it a bit harder.
