Hotel had potential, lovely big room and very spacious reception, bar and restaurant. Negatives, our room was for 2 adults and 1- 17yrs old. we only had 2 towels, 1 cup, no english tea bags and only 2glasses. I was impressed the gym had a Peloton bike, it was a very old model but that didnt matter. No clean towels in the gym just a over flowing cupboard of used towels or not even paper towels avaliable. The barman was fantastic, great asset to the team, very friendly and went the extra mile. Unfortunately the beer tap wasnt working or we would have stayed for a few drinks. Breakfast was well worth it. Plenty of choice and well laid out. The car parking spaces are tiny! Overall, happy with a stay. Just a few annoying little let downs.

Receptionist I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name was very helpful with everyone’s room problems. Mine was lacking the QR code needed for room service, a previous guest or even before them had scratched the code so it was not scannable. Room could clearly benefit from a backup QR code somewhere else in the room on the back of the door. The two men working the bar were also helpful in me placing my room service order. Unfortunately the person whom delivered the food to my room was unwilling to enter the room with the tray and promptly handed it over to me, using a walking aid I precariously placed the tray on the suitcase table. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. I didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment on it. The next day I managed to flood the bathroom when using the shower, problem with the drain I’m guessing. The shampoo and conditioner were placed outside arm’s length from shower seat and above normal wheelchair height. Housekeeping had forgotten to replenish the towels in my room when I arrived, and were promptly replaced without asking within I guess 1hr of moving in. Venue had changed extensibly since my last visit of which I had fond memories. Somethings felt cheap and others for example the staff went above and beyond what was expected.

Having paid a premium rate it was outrageous to have to pay an additional fee to checkin an hour early for a room that was already available. The bathroom was so small the door was impossible to shut unless you stood in the shower. It is also very disappointing to have less than mediocre sandwiches for lunch in the bar as the restaurant was not open. How this hotel gets a Double Tree moniker I have no idea. We will never return to this hotel, or use the brand again.

Just as expected

Wonderful hotel and beautiful rooms ina quiet section of Southampton. Easy transportation options to the cruise port. Highly recommended for overnight stays.

Like to have a bus stop to go downtown. But the stop for the reurn is dangerous. The property has a good location.

Our room was filthy. No apologies from ens on reception when changing rooms. No plug in the bath so couldn’t have a bath. Cobwebs all on the walls

Aunque está a 15 minutos en auto desde el centro está muy cerca del aeropuerto y de la estación de tren (7 minutos en auto). La atencion del personal del Hotel es aceptable pero sobresale la atención, el sentido de urgencia y la empatía de Celia. Los cuartos son amplios y está rodeado de naturaleza. Así que si quieres disfrutar de un entorno tranquilo este puede llegar a ser tu lugar. Pasa un autobús a cuatro minutos caminando que te lleva al centro de Southampton (€ 7all day ticket) y también a Winchester (€ 9 retourn)

Disappointed that a hotel that is so close to a family theme park and hosts I’m sure many many children they do not have bed guards. An essential for bringing children to a hotel. Also one of the noisiest hotels I have ever stayed in. Constant door banging and noise on corridor. Not ideal when having children stay.
