This apartment was absolutely nothing like the images. There were many issues. It wreaked of cigarette smoking and the sinks were clogged and couldn't drain. We had to no pen the windows to air it out and create some semblance of air flow as it was literally 92 degrees Fahrenheit in the apartment. When we did this, other locals living in the apartment complex were constantly walking by and looking in and even closed one of the windows to move their bikes. We later returned from a London excursion to find dozens of flies in the apartment, which likely came from the piles of garbage outside our windows. I'm a.wounded.combat veteran with severe respiratory challenges . We left the apartment at 0100 and moved to a.much better place. This apartment was truly horrendous and notnhiwnwe envisioned finishing our holiday to the UK. When I told the front desk we weren't staying the whole of our reservation, the only response I received was "that's fine." My recommendation is to NOT list this on Expedia as a viable option. It is not.

Pros: easy check-in process. Good location, 15mins away from Chessington (the reason for our stay). Lovely pubs and restaurants nearby (particularly the Albany and the ferry). Cheap public parking behind the building. (up to £4 per day which for anywhere in the UK these days seems unheard of). Cons: very hot in the apartment with ineffective fans provided (we luckily brought our own). Note that the host does say that air-conditioning isn't available. Unpleasant odour through the apartment seemingly from the drainage. Black mould around windows and blinds in kitchen area. Uncomfortable sofa bed. Tired looking furniture and flooring. Heavy traffic noise on Portsmouth Road (obviously not property's fault but does negatively affect the experience). Overall: Was manageable for the 3 nights given that the purpose of the stay was for sleeping. Unfortunately would not be staying again.

Internally, very modern and clean. The small rear area to the rear where you park is a rubbish dump. And you do have to check in and out at the Crowne Plaza a quarter of a mile away.

The key holder had to use his shoulder and full force to open the front door for us when letting us in. I overlooked this as we were tired and just wanted to get in. The smell of smoke hit us immediately and with young children and as a non-smoking family it was very unpleasant. The fridge was filthy so I wouldn’t have been able to use the self catering aspect of the stay even though that is why we had booked. On leaving for dinner later the door lock completely broke on us. It was clearly very damaged and was misshapen and part of the door frame looked as though it had been smashed. The phone number to call was unresponsive and the hotel down the road couldn’t offer support as they are only key holders. Had to find a new hotel at 8pm with young children. Since then, Hampton Suites haven’t answered messages or emails and hotels.com also can’t get through to them. Appalling service. Do not stay here.

They offer free parking but you most certainly need to pay for it, the apartment was full of mould thinking that we visited in July.

Apartment smelt damp, no sharp knives to cut and prepare food, 1 mug in cupboard, odd sets of cutlery, oven dirty, car park no spaces had to pay, car park was full of rubbish, old mattresses and skips. Nothing like photos

when booked it was booked for 5 people and only room for 4 as no extra bed only enough pots etc for 4 people cleanliness was poor needs a decent clean overall wouldnt stop again complained at reception about room size to be told he wasnt interested

The apartment done the job for 1 night stay for 5 adults , but definitely couldn’t do a short break here . The TV didn’t work , no signal. Internet was also poor again no signal . One of the chairs the leg was very loose unsafe to sit on , and had been just rested against the small table under the TV Air/Fan cooling towers in the apartment were dirty and smelly when in use . The key didn’t open the outside door I had to ring for assistance, he then told me it was a code to get in , which had never been mentioned at check in. Plus side the beds were comfortable, with nice clean fresh bedding, also clean towels. The apartments are also part residential, look a bit untidy from the outside , there was parking provided at the back of the apartments which accommodates 10 cars free of charge on a first come first serve basis, however the staff at the Crown Plaza where you check in and pick up the keys , did say we could park at the hotel for free if the car park was full . There was complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, and shower gel which was a nice touch.

I originally booked for 2 nights then booked a further 2 nights - before knowing what I was booking into. The apartment was musty, if quite clean, run down, and poorly appointed. The furniture was all askew, the rooms quite shabby and cupboards broken (eg fridge door). I ended up foregoing the cost of the extra 2 nights just to find something else that was decent.

I wish to make a compliant. I booked 3 2 bedroom apartments but was only given a family room and one 2 bedroom apartment. The first apartment was filthy and so the guests had to ask for a different room. Then once they had left the room and returned none of the door keys worked. Other unrelated guests had the same issue.

A decent bed and clean if spartan bathroom. For a serviced apartment, there was very little in the way of servicing .. furniture was haphazard, there was a musty smell and no air con (to be fair it I stayed during an unseasonably hot time), which made the experience more unpleasant. No coat hangers, hair dryer or anything much other then mismatched cutlery. The check in was a 5 min walk down the road, which meant dragging a case along. Not my favourite experience.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The biggest issue was that there was no bedding provided at all for the living room sofa bed(just a sheet over the bed), meaning the children had nowhere suitable to sleep - no quilt, no sheets, and no pillows. This was a basic necessity that should have been provided. We tried contacting the host through WhatsApp and messages but received no response, even after checking out. We also had no WiFi password. The information sheet said to refer to a tent card for the details, but there was no tent card available. The bedding that was provided in the other rooms was not acceptable either, as one of the sheets was dirty. We were also told there was parking at the property, but there was no parking available out the back. There was affordable paid parking opposite, but this should have been made clear beforehand. The listing is well priced and in a good location to get to Chessington world but overall, the lack of communication and missing essentials made the stay very uncomfortable, especially with children.

Do not stay here with children, it is not safe due to large, low, bottom opening windows that do not lock and have no safety catches. Only half a dozen car park spaces for 2 full apartment blocks Sofa bed metal frame was seriously broken with sharp metal sticking out in multiple places No bedding provided for sofa bed despite booking for four people and only having one double and one single bed Check in at another hotel almost a mile away We were provided with fans as it was extremely hot, these did NOT work Wifi was very poor and does not work with the smart TV's

The worse place I have ever stayed in

This is the worst place we have ever stayed and I am 45! It's absolutely filthy disgusting place. There is dirt everywhere, it's clear it is never cleaned properly, it has health and safety issues everywhere, the battery pulled out it the fire alarms, no fire alarm test completed, screws on the floor, curtains had fallen down and no one had put them up before we came. The smell is beyond weird, just filth not cleaned properly and it's built up. No idea what the stains are everywhere and do not want to know...We raised this every day for the first few days and no one ever came, even after we were promised a deep clean. It's hard to imagine this type of place exits in 2026! They don't reply to hotels.com who are also next to useless. All pretending to maintain and manage the property but actually just abandoned. Take money and offer the worst experience ever. I cannot say loud enough, do not stay here regardless of short or long term!! No amount of words can explain how awful it is. I live in the area and we needed a place while moving house, I am ashamed that this is a business operating in our area. Shameful of the management, staff not trained or looked after with no idea what to do. Stay away.

I booked the wrong date by mistake. They told us to contact hotels.com and it would be fixed. We did that, and booked and paid for the correct dates. Hotels.com achieved nothing. Then we stayed there, it was atrocious, dirty and insecure. See my review from 7 days ago and note the same issues raised by others over a long period. Absolutely the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay, and due to safety concerns we are informing the authorities. Hotels.com sent loads of AI messages claiming to be from real people and saying they couldn't do anything. Garbage.

Far and away the worst place I have stayed in years. The car park is full of trash, the back door was propped open to allow anyone in, the apartment had a modern bathroom but the main room furniture and floor need replacing. The glassware was dirty.

The apartment was bejou and clean. The photos made it look a bit larger. But it was fine for our stay anyway . The car park for the apartments is small. There is a low cost public car park over the road though. Which is handy.

They left us outside the property in the blistering heat for 25 minutes with young children whilst finding someone with the key. They then took us into the wrong apartment. Eventually we got to our apartment and there was small pieces of broken glass on the floor, small bits of food in the fridge and generally not very clean. There was also no bedding for the sofa bed.

Following my stay, there were not enough towels for the 5 occupants in the apartment. The parking situation was very poor. It was not made clear the parking opposite was charged even though I specifically asked. There was zero availability in the carpark next to the building. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The pictures when booking are very misleading as the place is much smaller than you would expect. If anything I would like some compensation due to the extra parking I was having to pay per day.
