Hampton Suites Serviced Apartments

Unfortunately i can't give a n honest opinion of the Hampton Suites, as there was a problem with my booking. I'm not sure if it was Expedia's fault, or that of the property's, but when i arrived to collect the keys from the nearby Crowne Plaza as instructed, i was told that the property was undergoing maintenance and i should not have been allowed to book it in the first place(i had booked it two months prior). This was particularly frustrating as i have sent an email only days before my arrival to ensure everything was in order and to confirm that there were 5 of us staying. The person on the hotel reception was helpful and to be honest put in a very awkward situation. We were offered accommodation within the hotel itself, but after approx. 2 hours of back and forth negotiations and changing of rooms, we eventually checked into two bedrooms in the hotel. As there were no spare beds available onsite, my daughter had to sleep on the floor. We were travelling from overseas, so this was not an ideal situation, especially as we had been up since 4.30am. This was also part of a birthday trip for my eldest son, so a lot of plans had to change regarding meal arrangements and having my family sitting around most of the evening waiting for the accommodation situation to be resolved was a very disappointing and not to mention infuriating. Top this off with a fine a week later for parking that was supposed to be complimentary - that issue now resolved thankfully.

Check in for this property was at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on the same street. I parked in their car park for 10 minutes to check in. For this I received a parking fine, which unbelievably has been upheld despite my providing the details of my reservation and their own record of my being in the car park for 10 minutes. This is a first for me, being fined by the hotel I am checking into. I was not asked to register my car at check in, no doubt because there was separate parking for the apartment that I was occupying. They spent time showing me where to park and at no time during the check in process was I asked for my car details. I’m astonished that a paying customer would be treated like this. There were some dirty clothes in the apartment from a previous occupant.

Shower door was missing, only 3 towels despite being 4 of us, missing cutlery and general cleanliness not great, parking was shocking got blocked in, fire protection was poor fire door propped open on hallways, and front and back doors wide open!

The property is in a poor state, the outside doors to the block don’t lock properly, the car park is restricted as they have placed very large storage units in it and there is a lot of litter in the car park. The hallways of the complex stink of cigarettes and cannabis. Someone propped open the fire safety doors and would often prop open the entrance doors causing security and safety issues. The apartment itself wasn’t particularly clean, the bathroom smelt of urine, there was a pair of men’s trousers screwed up in the bathroom cupboard, the shower was missing its door and had a shower curtain rail installed but no shower curtain- so every time you had a shower the tiny bathroom would get wet. The positioning of the toilet makes it challenging to use if you need to sit down as there is very little leg room- poor design and best suited to very short people. The main bedroom wasn’t clean and in desperate need of a vacuum, the bed is so big it’s a struggle to get around it without hitting the tv which is on the wall- I’m only 5ft6 so not tall! The kitchen was okay but barely had any cutlery given that it could supposedly sleep 4. Also only 1 wine glass. One the dining chairs was broken with no attempt at repair. It also looks like some of the people are living there and not guests - maybe emergency housing, not a big issue but it’s not really a hotel style holiday let that we were led to believe from the marketing blurb. Not what we were expecting. It’s functional.

Apartment was spacious. Shower door didn't seem like it had been cleaned from previously. Despite floor may have looked clean, up close you could tell it needed a good scrub. Had a pleasant stay it had done the job we needed a good sleep. Bed sheets were clean.

Plenty of room in carpark at back of property. Check in at hotel up the road easy. Bare minimum pans/plates etc. A good base for Bushy parkrun.

lovely apartment easy to cheek in definitely stay again

All the pictures on the list are if a big apartment with a balcony, and it was more expensive than other nearby ones, balcony is specifically why i chose this property at a higher price. However on check in it was an apt without a balcony, i was advised only the premium has a balcony, nowhere on thr listing does it differentiate between the standard and premium appointment. I tried calling the host several times and left them a message but no one got back to. Very poor communication and i felt misled by the listing. I would not stay again

Room was very dusty. The wardrobes had inch thick dust on them, the pots and pans had what looked like hardened grease in them. We had 1 knife to cut things with which was broken. The freezer compartments were all broken. We stay here every year and it’s progressively getting worse and worse. The tv in the bedroom didn’t want to connect to the internet and the heating stopped working. When we called the front desk to let them know they said we are checking out tomorrow like it was ok - who cares I’m cold now I need the heating to work while I’m still there.

It was okay but tired furniture and rugs:carpets. Needs updating

Floor was dusty

The staff were very courteous at check in and check out. The flat was mostly clean and comfortable. The flat was in a good location for us. However, it was rundown and needs to be re-painted, a lot of marks on the walls. One of the towels had a big hair ball in it. The shower had a lot of rust all over it from top to bottom. The toilet is in the corner and it’s not easy to sit properly on it if you’re a bigger person. I think the flat needs to be refurbished.

I reserved an apartment here through Expedia as did others in my group. I got a confirmation that I had reserved a 2 bedroom apartment from Expedia. We checked in, as instructed, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. I was told there that I never had an apartment, that I just had a room at their hotel and that was what Expedia had reserved. I know several others who had this experience.

Worst Hotel Serviced Apartments I have ever stayed in. Will NEVER use them again. The rooms were cold as the heating did not appear to work. The bathroom was deplorable, no hand soap and the Shower unit was very difficult to operate.

Carpet wasn’t clean As no breakfast options are available, would be good to have fruits in the room

I stayed in the Hampton Court Apartment Suite and had an extremely poor experience — completely unacceptable for the money I paid. When I arrived, my key didn’t work and I had to call for assistance to even access the building. There was no check-in information, no Wi-Fi or phone signal and I had to go outside just to try and contact the hotel. I called six times with no answer. Inside, the apartment was in a terrible state: marks all over the walls, no bin bag provided, a towel with a blood stain and a broken iron. I raised these issues twice in person (at 2:00 am and again at 8:00 am) and was advised to follow up in writing - which I did. It has now been over 10 days and management still hasn’t responded. I’ve called more than five times and each time I’ve been told someone would get back to me, but nobody ever has. Truly awful customer service and far below what I would expect for the price I paid.

Good option but cleanliness was not great

The exterior door does not latch all the way, so anyone could walk in. The lobby area/ hall smelled... interesting and unfamiliar, in a bad way. Our suite was not clean; the master bed had stains on the mattress, along with what looked like black crumbs or seeds or something... the mattress pad and sheet were stained and there was a huge urine stain on the duvet cover as well. There were also stains on the curtains. The sofa bed had no sheets at all, so when I called the hotel to complain about the state of the master, I asked them to bring clean sheets for the sofa bed. The attendant remade the master bed, and left the sheets and duvet for the sofa bed- but when I made it up later, there was a urine stain on that as well! And another random, brown stain. And then, there were the spiders. I killed three before even talking to Expedia- and I'm not talking about the tiny little spiders that get into houses, I'm talking about large, bodies bigger than a US nickel sized spiders. Crawling down the second bedroom curtains, on the kitchen wall, in the bathroom, in the hall... my daughter took a nap when we first arrived in the second bedroom and got bitten up by something- looked like bedbug bites. They ended up moving us to the hotel, but that made things more expensive, as I now had to pay for each meal instead of cooking. Sorting this wasted the first two days of our trip- and no refund was given for the loss of our time or inconvenience.
