Very happy with everything here really. Even though there was a wedding event the night we stayed, it was a comfortable stay. The location was ideal.

We stayed here for just one night, there was also a wedding on at the same time. However from our room you couldn't hear anything. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing. Will definitely be staying again. I would highly recommend this place

Room very dated, bed too soft and probably in need of changing, bathroom basin was partially blocked and fit and finish in the bathroom poor. But only £80 so you get what you pay for.

Due to hot weather I asked if we could move to a lower floor room for our 2nd night ( they had provide 1 fan that was already in the room and 2nd one which I asked for but room was like an oven ..)
The staff were fantastic and found a room within a few minutes on a lower floor and cooler .. Thank you to the staff

I stayed one night on my way home from London to the South west as I needed to split the journey. Hotel was about 8 minutes walk from the station through a well lit shopping centre. I arrived just after 11 as my train was delayed, called ahead as I wasn't sure if they accommodated late check in and it was fine. Very friendly staff and a lovely clean and comfy room, perfect for a good night's sleep and great value for money. My only slight niggle was there was no plug socket near the bed or bedside table, and even with a long charger cable it couldnt reach from the desk opposite. Very minor thing though and may have just been my particular room. Would happily stay again.

Good location for attending gigs at The Anvil, Forge or Haymarket venues and free parking if you have a car make this a great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and welcoming with a good shower and welcome tea making facilities.

I needed to be in Basingstoke for work so booked The Red Lion.
It has a free car park at the rear of the hotel.
There is a bar at the front which I didn't use.
My room (49) was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable.
The lady on reception and the breakfast staff are very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast room is nice and bright with a good selection of items.
I've stayed here three times now and would stay again.

The hotel is in an excellent location right in middle of town within walking distance of everything Basingstoke has to offer.
Reception and eating areas we're modern and clean and the breakfast was very good with lots of options. The reception staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.
The only thing was the room although clean and well presented was a little dated and could possibly do with being modernised. If this was done it would definitely improve its 3 star rating in my opinion.

This is a lovely Pub in the heart of Old Basingstoke. A trifle awkward to get into by car, but plenty of parking once we'd managed it!
Friendly and helpful staff. A good breakfast.

The checking in was efficient, friendly and quick. The room was spacious snd clean and the bed was comfortable.
No fridge or coffee machine but it is 3* and they had irons and hairdryers that you can ask for.
