I liked everything in my room, the only thing that wasn’t working properly was the faucet to switch the flow of water in the tub

Our stay at Barceló Guatemala was truly exceptional from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and received a voucher for free drinks along with a complimentary appetizer from Strikers restaurant. This thoughtful gesture immediately set a positive tone and made us feel well taken care of. We also appreciated the apples in our room, which added a fresh and welcoming touch after our journey. The breakfast buffet was another standout, offering a wide variety of selections to suit every taste. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and plentiful, making each morning enjoyable. The hotel’s location is also very convenient with several local restaurants nearby, giving us plenty of options to explore. Parking was easy and accessible, especially with the convenient outlet located at the back of the hotel. Overall, Barceló Guatemala exceeded our expectations with its thoughtful amenities, great service, and convenient location. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Breakfast was amazing. My only complaint were that keycards didn’t work sometimes & shower didn’t drain well.

I have traveled all over the world and the barcelo is my favorite hotel barcelo Guatemala even stands out the VIP service was excellent and I can't say anything bad about my stay here

Nice heated swimming pool, good location, good in room service

Muy bien ubicado, sobre todo si vas a viajar temprano ,su cercanía al aeropuerto lo hace buenísimo . Personal muy amable , habitaciones cómodas , ropa de cama cómoda , desayuno rico y variado , ojo … los mejores mojitos con ron ron zacapa los hacen en el bar . Magnífica selección !!!

Older hotel but very clean. Restaurant choices were limited and it is not a very secure area around the property. But, convenient to the airport for an early morning flight

Great breakfast, friendly staff, clean room

Unfortunately, when I checked into this hotel, I was supposed to have a suite with two double beds. They gave me a king bed and a pullout couch and attempted to bring in an extra mattress and lay it in the middle of the living room floor. My girlfriend used the pullout couch, which had a huge bloody stain on it. I walked around the room for five minutes and a brand new pair of white socks turned black the water pressure if you use the water downstairs the water upstairs would cut off half of the lamps upstairs do not work. The property is very dated in order to make things right they offered me a one free buffet ticket and their buffet is horrible. One free ticket to the buffet, even though there were two of us staying there The food is cold. It looks like a two star golden corral. I would never stay here again. They did nothing to attempt to make this right. They even dropped off a piece of chocolate and some fruit to say sorry but the cleanliness of the rooms of this place is disgusting.

Property was beautiful, staff was so friendly. The rooms were clean and the pool was beautiful! We added the breakfast buffet and were very happy with what was offered. We were very pleased with our stay and would absolutely stay here again.

Property is old but, everything else is great, food, personal and amenities.. recommended

We did not have the best experience. We arrived an hour before check in. They were not able to accommodate an hour early check in, however, they did hold our luggage and take our payment at that time. On return an hour later, check in took a long time. They show on the reservation you get a drink with check-in but we did not get it. The hotel is large with little guidance on where to go. We ended up on the wrong elevators. Once in the room, the electric was off and we had to figure out there was a card to turn it on. This would have been useful information to know at check in. There were not wash clothes in the bathroom and some of the little kits on the sink were already opened. The shower door did not seal and flooded the bathroom when we showered. We did use the hot tub amenity, which was very nice. Once we got back to the room, someone had left a fruit plate on the counter. The thought was nice but we didn’t like that staff was in the room without notification or warning. The did have a lot of security everywhere.

Always our regular hotel for our annual trips to Guatemala. Love the pool and breakfast buffet and is a safe and secure location with an airport shuttle. Also had a Japanese restaurant which is a nice spot for dinner.

La atención fue muy excelente, muy lindas las personas Pero la comida deja mucho que desear muy cara y la comida no es tan buena.

Great breakfast, lovely pool and fitness room, comfortable beds.
