GR 솔라리스 칸쿤 & 스파 - 올 인클루시브

When we first arrived we got the worst room with the worst view ever. Overlooking a building that looked like it was under construction even though we paid for an ocean front room with 2 double beds. We ended up getting a room with 1queen bed and a Murphy bed. After complaining to the front desk, we were told there won’t be any rooms available with 2 double beds until the next day. We spent one night and transferred to the oceanfront room on a higher floor with 2 double beds. We debated for a long time before we decided to booked the GR Solaris because of the reviews. The place is nice, but outdated, the staff is very friendly but the food as the other reviewers say is not the greatest at all, the Asian restaurant is the worst. The food has no flavor and everything just seems so greasy and it has no taste. Don’t even waste your time on trying it. The Mexican restaurant was good but the portions are extremely small. The buffet is your best option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pizza by the pool is pretty good as well. We got a good on this trip so I won’t complain too much but I am very dissatisfied with the food so if you’re a picky eater, go somewhere else and pay a bit more.I would not stay there again because of the food. The alcoholic beverages seem watered down.We were also told we had to download their app in order to make reservations for their 4 restaurant. Apparently you can only eat at 2 restaurants out of the 4 so you can’t even try all 4 which makes no sense.

La Atención del personal muy buena inmejorable, se nota que el hotel es viejo y por supuesto tenia fallas como: en la cerradura de la habitación la tarjeta debía introducirla varias veces para que abriera, algunas paredes dentro de la habitación y en el pasillo manchadas, se debe estar mas pendiente del mantenimiento. Otro punto fue la comida poco agradable aunque cada persona tiene gustos diferentes

Room was clean, and nicely presented on arrival. The room was nicely supplied with a stocked fridge, coffee maker and furnished balcony. Lobby was filled with aromatic fragrance that was too strong and caused issues with allergies. Buffets were mediocre, and missing key items such as cheddar cheese, flavored yogurts, fruit jams, that are usually found daily. Staff members at the buffets were cold and hard to get a second beverage or extras from. Pools, decks, and chairs were nicely kept but water temp was too cold and not utilized. Poolside entertainment seemed to be geared towards a senior citizen crowd, no pool parties here. Resort is older, and they were performing work on the exterior which is great except for the hammering and sawing at 7 AM. Will be nice when it is complete. Access to the beach is nice and beach was good but there is no shade available. The spa facilty was the best part of the experience and they have a great and friendly staff. The basement facility is relaxing but did require repair of the sauna steam rooms which were out of order. The jacuzzi tub prior was wonderful. Overall, the resort is overpriced for the condition and service, and appears to cater towards older members who purchased time spots, and mexican locals vacationing in Cancun.

Most of the staff was amazing. I was told at check in that I could not get an upgrade because of availability. However, our friends were given an ocean view room, and the hotel was at most 50% full. We looked at a hotel next door while many lagoon and ocean rooms were available. We were told to come back and check the next day to see if there was availability. Not interested in unpacking and packing again for a 7 day stay. We were at the same place last year but we will not be going back. We booked through Expedia for the free upgrade and other perks. There is a very offensive chemical spayed in the main lobby 24/7. It makes our eyes water and when speaking with other guests, we were not alone in this. It was like working in a low value perfume store multiplied by 3. Kids were constantly in the adult pool but to be fair to the parents, there was no visible signage. Kids also ran the hallways at night. Without any parents or security. The food was ok at best. The cafe was quite good. The bartenders were great. The lunch selection at the pool was very good.

Good and clean

Great staff, pools, cocktails and buffet. Would have given 5 stars had the water purification unit on our floor was working during our stay. We requested multiple times throughout the week that our water purification station on our floor be serviced, however was not working during the entirety of our 8 night stay.

Pool was okay, generally ok resort, nothing special, very average.

Once again the staff was amazing in every way!!! Made us feel like we were once again home, and kept us entertained if we wanted, if not made our relaxation even better. The drinks are good, the lunch in the Cafe Solaris was our favorite everyday. We like the new decor, and there was a new singer who was so so talented.

The resort itself and the staff are great. However, the food is severely lacking. We didn’t have a single meal that was satisfying.

It was very professional staff and well communicated. The only thing that was npt on top was when they knocked on the door and open that right away.

The good: -The staff was beyond AMAZING -The property was clean -The hotel had filtered water stations -Loved the spacious rooms -Close to the main strip for shopping -A short commute for some excursions The Bad: -The food was a disappointment in all the à la cart restaurants as there was very limited selections and nothing offered for dietary restrictions. -The gift shop was beyond overpriced ($16 CAD for a small bag of chips. Overall a half decent resort. Would rate it a 7/10.

Need better beds , overall very good food, had a great time

Room good staff nice. Would of liked them to change up buffet menu more and enforce the adult only pool rules.

We like the property. But customer service, food, information was very frustrating. Only one restaurant we liked, it was Zai. Management of the resort need big improvement!!!!

Room was nice, most staff was sweet, but our minibar never got refilled until the last day and the pool was so cold. I mean ridiculously cold. No one wanted to get in, entertainment staff struggled to find people who wanted to play the pool games because no one wanted to get in the pool. Also some of the buffet food options could be improved.

My first night and my air conditioning did not work. I was moved at 12:25 am. In the havoc, I left a bathing suit behind. 2 days later, it still wasn't located, although I checked 2x per day. It finally turned up when someone went and checked. My original room had never been cleaned. Eew. Staff was nice enough but very compartmentalized. The place is nice, food okay. Nothing stood out as impressive.
