The Central Studio Hotel is conveniently located opposite the train station with a number of food chains in the area. Joseph on the front desk was very friendly and provided us with an upgrade as well as advice on the area along with some good laughs. The rooms are spacious with a comfortable large king size bed and walk in shower. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Just a few minutes walk to Central Station and plenty of places to wine, dine and explore nearby. The bedding was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet, and the reception we received from Joseph was warm and welcoming. If our travels ever take us to Sydney City again we wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

Probably the dirtiest hotel ever stayed at. Black mold on the roof of the bathroom, dust in the room corners so thick you couldn’t see the ground. When we asked to store our luggage they said they would lock it in a room. But when we came back it was sitting in the hotel lobby in the exact same spot. Felt very unsafe with our belongings.

Stayed one night but almost didn't. As soon as I stepped out of the lift on floor 4 it stunk. It smelled like mold and so did the room. The showerhead looked it it has never been cleaned before. The aircon was blasting in my room probably trying to mask the smell but it just made it worse. Construction outside made it hard to sleep. Beds weren't made very well. Just felt dirty being in there with the smell and how run down it seemed.

The property is clearly in need of a renovation, with clapped-out carpets, damaged furniture and evidence of quick-fix maintenance. In my room the bathroom door was missing, with only hinges remaining. Reception is supposed to be 24-hour, but is usually unattended.

Pros: Friendly staff Large room Comfortable bed HOT shower Internet that actually worked Only a 10 minute walk from Sydney Central Railway Station Cons: I’d asked for an accessible bathroom, or at least a shower chair, both when booking through Expedia, and then as a separate email directly to the property. I would have at expected to be notified about the lack of this facility BEFORE I ARRIVED Apart from having no shower chair for safety, there was nothing to hang onto …. There was a frameless shower screen, and the towel rails were 3 steps away from the shower. Because of this unsafe arrangement, I shall not stay at this motel again. In future bookings through Expedia, I would ask that if my request for a simple shower chair cannot be provided, would I at least be notified? Thanks
