Pullman Brisbane King George Square

Only 1 elevator was working and hotel was very busy which made it very exhausting to wait for 10 min on average to get an elevator. There were signs to use staff lift in busy times but that was also tricky as only staff was able to give you access and they were not always available and when raised, the receptionist was not courteous at all or apologetic for misleading signs. Nowhere on their website or booking confirmation it’s mentioned that the swimming pool is not located in Pullman tower but is in Mercure which was inconvenient and misleading. Other than the location of this hotel nothing else is extraordinary. They even charge $55 per day for parking for hotel guests which is a rip off.

Our room had an air conditioning issue on a 30 + degree day. There was no spare rooms and it could not be fixed so we were given fans.

Yes, water and bubbles were coming out from the pipe from the floor. It’s the oldest Accor hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. It’s not the rating of Pullman. It’s more like an ibis or Holiday-In Express types of hotel but you are paying for the Pullman, not even the Mercure

Upon arrival we were rather impressed when seeing the lobby. However that is where it ends. $110 for parking which is not specified in the room description. Our room smelt damp and to make things even better our ceiling was leaking in the ensuite. Celing of the bathroom wasnt even painted and you could see the water damage through the horribly attempted setting. One savings grave would be the staff. However management need to have a serious look at pricing of rooms if the cleanliness and functionality of rooms is this poor. Would not stay again Putrid

Room is run down. Cracks in the wash basin. Bathroom light was not working upon check in. Location is convenient.

Enjoyed my stay at the Pullman hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable bedroom. Evening meal very good.

Although the hotel is a little older, it is comfortable and clean. The staff are reasonably friendly, but I rated the hotel lower on service because of the check-in experience. I was traveling with a colleague who had booked directly with the hotel. She and I both requested early check-in. I was told my room was not ready and that they would contact me when it was available. She was allowed access to her room right away. No one contacted me, and it really felt like they disliked that I had booked through this site. I felt very dismissed and ignored, compared to others checking in around me. If they don't want to work with third party vendors, then they really should not offer rooms through those vendors.
