Radisson Barra Rio De Janeiro

BATHROOM with a leak. The issue was Reported no action taken. Restaurant service good, quality of food 6 of 10. Breakfats buffet ok. Front end service staff friendly.

Good hotel and great staff. We had a/c issues and they switched our room - very friendly and accommodating . The only downside of hotel is the pool - it is small and over crowded . Overall we would come here again and recommend to others as well.

The reception staff were outstanding and so very helpful. The location is perfect, as access to the beach, downtown and shopping malls is super easy. Barra de Tijuca is a great location! Rooms need to be updated

I pulled up in a taxi and asked at the front desk for change and there was none I was told. I then waited to check in for 30 minutes and 3 other guests interrupted a staff member and she assisted them before addressing me. I then finally got my turn to check in and no enthusiasm or mention about the New Year’s festivities so I brought it up. I was told it was sold out but that I could see fireworks from the rooftop on floor 15. Not as described on the website which referenced a beach experience. There is black mold around the sink faucet. There was no obvious place for the ice bucket nor did I see where I might get ice. I tried to call for assistance but no number works. The soup that I ordered tasted like paste flavored with lemon with shrimp added. The salad was not a salad that should be on the menu it had cheap lettuce I eburg vs spring mix or arugula and sliced tomatoes with drops of a dressing that was not something I could select. In fact it said pick up to 10 options and you could not pick one. The soup was given back due to its mashed potato consistency and basic lemon only flavor and the salad was also returned. Again I had to go to the front desk because the phone doesn’t allow a call to go through from your room. When I attempted to place my room service order it did not go through because it said no guest under my name was in room 641. There was no manager on site for a busy holiday event?? I am paying $500 the holiday rate for 1 night and want discount!!!

Sempre que vou ao Rio de Janeiro me hospedo neste hotel porque além de ser muito bem localizado o atendimento é muito bom, os quartos são grandes e confortáveis. O café da manha é excelente!

O quarto era confortável e silencioso

Nao parece Radisson. Sou hóspede constante da rede mas nunca vi um Radisson tão fraco. Limpeza dos quartos ruim, trocamos de quarto porque havia muito mofo, lençóis encardidos, banheiros mal limpos e tumulto desde o check in até o café da manhã.

No check-in os funcionários não foram muito solícitos. O hotel é muito bom, brm localizado, tem a comodidade de levar os hóspedes para os principais pontos da Barra. O quarto deixou mais a desejar. Era um pouco apertado (éramos 2 adultos e uma criança de 3 anos), o sistema de exaustão não estava funcionando, deixando o quarto mais úmido, o que dificultou a secagem das roupas de banho e toalhas.

Everything is ok!

Quarto limpo e bem completo, mas lençóis e toalhas nao eram muito macios. Nao tem sauna, e a piscina é pequena para tanta gente.

A hospedagem atendeu às nossas expectativas.

Insatisfatorio

As usual, Radisson is unpretentious which makes one feel at home. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are excellent. Only negative comment is that the swimming pool is too shallow for swimming. Shuttle to the beach, metro and mall is an excellent facility.

Major WiFi problem - could not connect for over a day and never was fully connected. Had to change rooms because the t v did not work for streaming.
