Hotel Port Royal

The rooms were spotless, staff very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette ws perfect.

The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. The Louise restaurant was very good. The bathroom in our room was updated and four star, but the room bed and furniture could have been updated and was about a three star. A good experience overall. Good location

« Suite royale » qui n’a rien d’une suite et rien de royale. Se trouve dans un bâtiment annexe où on a totalement l’impression d’être oublié/non désiré dans l’hôtel. Ces suites sont tellement peu occupées que les petits sachets de sucre et autres disponibles dans la chambre sont cristallisés, la quantité de poussière s’accumule grandement derrière les lampes, et le diffuseur d’huiles essentielles dans le couloir doit être vide depuis plusieurs mois. Pour ce qui est de la chambre, courant d’air à proximité du vitrage même parfois malgré les gros rideaux, plancher chauffant dans la salle de bain qui ne chauffe pas du tout même à fond, résultat il fait froid et les serviettes ne sèchent pas, serviettes qui ont été poncées d’ailleurs tant elles étaient dures, chauffage dans la chambre bruyant. Pas de chaise où poser ses affaires, un micro bureau/buffet sur lequel on ne peut pas faire grand chose. Pas de bouteille d’eau à l’arrivée, pas de fontaine disponible, seulement 4 dosettes de café, pas de thé ou de chocolat chaud, pas de machine type distributeur non plus. Pas de micro-onde à disposition même dans le bâtiment principal. Un hôtel à fuir, un attrape touriste bien trop cher pour la qualité de service (700$ soit 450€ pour 3 nuits pour un lit et une salle de bain c’est scandaleux).

Very helpful and courteous staff, clean and great breakfasts in the restaurant. Completely enjoyed our stay and appreciated thier help with our odd check in and check out times.

Room was clean not sure when housekeeping gets done but for our 3 night stay our room wasn't serviced was offered at 4:00pm one day but refused because i was sleeping most places do it in the morning. Otherwise I'd stay there again

The hotel’s location is excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was facing a gas station and above the trash storage area so it was quite noisy at times but no fault of the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Beautiful hotel.

The staff were really friendly. The amenities were great and we really liked the location very walkable, although a steep walk up the hill! Loved the bottle of bubbly too!

The only criticism is that there was not a lot of parking. Besides that the hotel is excellent. The staff were wonderful, the room was large and very comfortable, and the location was great.

C’est le prix d’un 4 étoiles mais avec des prestations d’un 3 étoiles. Ameublement défraichi, produits de soins personnels sont très basiques, chauffage et thermostat à l’ancienne. Peut-être bien dans les années 90. On montre des photos du mur de pierres et c’est un des seuls points positifs avec sa situation dans le vieux-Québec. Très décevant. Nous y retournerions pas.

The staff was polite and very helpful. The room was very clean and spacious and the attached restaurant and bar were great with delicious food.

My room was located in Building B which was across the street from the hotel itself. Building B is shared between different businesses and does not feel like a hotel. The restaurant, lobby, water, bell hop services, etc is all a walk away. The room itself was basic- a bed, desk, chair, small TV and bathroom. I was disappointed that there wasn't a mini fridge or any waters in the room. The heat in my room did not work the first night and the temperature was below 0. They sent someone over quickly to try and fix it. The blankets on the bed were not warm enough for the weather outside. The bathroom had a strong smell of sewage coming from the drains. I called the front desk many times but was always sent to voicemail. After leaving a message, no one returned my call. I ended up checking out of the hotel a day early.

Bel hôtel. Bien situé dans le Vieux-Québec. Parfait pour marché dans le Petit Champlain. Accès à des restaurants haut de gamme à distance de marche.

Beautiful family stayed with our 2 little girls. We visited during first week of December and the whole experience was amazing. Hotel was well located close to everything. Hotel personnel were very and helpful. Our room with 2 beds on a building across the street was cozy and had everything we need it . Parking was easy to park and paid extra usd $28 with tax included for each night. Breakfast we paid usd $65 for 3 breakfasts.

I honestly don’t know if we were given a room upgrade, but the room was excellent. There was lots of space & I love the heated floors in the bathroom. We didn’t end up eating at the hotel, but there are many restaurants in the area. The staff was lovely & the location is good. Everything is within close proximity although going up the hill to upper town could be challenging for some. We were more concerned about coming down safely as the streets are at quite an incline & were icy. The view from my room was also lovely. I’d definitely stay here again!

The good: The restaurant staff at the hotel tavern was top-notch. We ate there for dinner once and had coffee and cappuccinos every morning. My son did get a breakfast plate, and everything was outstanding. The beds in building B suites were comfortable. The bathroom was also very nice, as others have pointed out. The Bad: Our room stopped working 5 or 6 times. As we were in a different building, it was a bit of an annoyance. This would not stop me from staying here again.
