Great spot

Old fashioned hotel, nice rooms, and great location.

You know you are above a pub, so there is the usual music and conversation noises. Pub closes at 1:00 and is not a “club” so not insane thumping and loud screaming or anything. So, knowing that, I LOVED the large room and the kitchenette. Very clean, cool abstract art pieces, clean crisp sheets, with lots of pillows and comfortable bed. Sweet couch, airy 16 foot (?) ceiling. Excellent location and staff super clear and helpful, esp with parking. Fabulous stay!

Room was spotless ,really spacious.

Room on hotels.com said it had either patio or balcony. We had neither. Also the bedrooms had no windows except skylight.

Paid for extra night on Expedia so we didn’t have to leave in morning. They would not let us keep same room even though it was going to be unoccupied the next day. Wanted to pay extra to keep our same room but it was going to cost $500 even though a room was half that price. Staff could not figure anything out and were useless.

Comfy and clean. Great location! Staff very helpful and friendly.

The staff and hotel are great

Room was definitely a bit dated but in a charming sort of way. Despite being a bit tired, it was very comfortable and meticulously clean. Plus the location was excellent.

We had a fabulous stay! Such a great location right downtown. Our room was so spacious, clean and quiet even though we were in the heart of the city.

It was fine

Room was fine. Parking for unloading was nonexistent as the loading area was being used by the pub patrons, meaning that we had to walk a couple of blocks with our luggage. Room is quite noisy, we were expecting noise from the pub below but the penthouse above was rented for a wedding party and was very noisy until the wee hours of the night. Not sure how renting some rooms to sleep in and renting some rooms to party in makes sense. Doubt I will ever stay there again or recommend it.

Everything great! Staff at hotel were very nice and helpful! I had fish and chips at the restaurant and it was plenty enough to eat and absolutely delicious!! Price was very good too!! I’ll stay and eat at Swan’s when I visit again soon!!! Cleaning lady was also very nice!!!

NO FRONT ENTRANCE ACCESS FOR LUGGAGE DROP OFF, MUST PARK 20-35 METRES AWAY IN A LOADING ZONE, CROSS A BUSY BIKE LANE ALL WITHOUT A LUGGAGE TROLLY AVAILABLE FROM THE HOTEL TO TRANSFER LUGGAGE. THE LOADING ZONE HAD A DELIVERY TRUCK AND ANOTHER VEHICLE FOR OVER 40 MINUTES SO WE HAD TO CIRCLE THE BLOCKS UNTIL THE ZONE WAS AVAILABLE AND THEN STRUGGLE TO TRANSFER LUGGAGE TO THE HOTEL A 1/4 BLOCK AWAY WITHOUT TROLLY. ONCE UNLOADED WE NEEDED TO RETURN TO VEHICLE AND FIND A PAID PARKING LOT IN THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD, DOWNLOAD AN APP TO PAY 34.00 A DAY FOR PARKING. HORRIBLY INCONVENIENT, TOOK APPROXIMATELY 1.5-2 HOURS TO WAIT FOR LOADING ZONE TO CLEAR, TRANSFER LUGGAGE AND THEN FIND SUITABLE PARKING QUESTIONING SAFTY OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT SECURITY. 1ST NIGHT THE LARGER PENTHOUSE SUITE DOWN THE HALL WAS RENTED OUT FOR A LARGE PARTY, KEPT US AWAKE THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT, SECOND NIGHT THE GROUP NEXT DOOR CAME IN AT 230 AND WE NEEDED TO CALL AGAIN NUMEROUS TIMES TO BE ABLE TO SLEEP. SO IF YOU LIKE TO UNLOAD YOUR LUGGAGE AT A COVERED SAFE DEPENDABLE HOTEL ENTRANCE FRONT DOOR, AND SLEEP AT NIGHT THEN AVOID THIS PLACE. THE ROOMS ARE INTERESTING, THE BUILDING IS COOL, THE LOCATION IS AMAZING, BUT I ALSO LIKE TO SLEEP AND DO NOT WANT TO STRUGGLE IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY CITY STREET TO FIND A PARKING SPOT TO THEN STRUGGLE TO CARRY HEAVY LUGGAGE A 1/4 BLOCK TO THE ENTRANCE WITH OUT HOTELS ASSISTANCE. THE STAFF DID NOT RESPOND APPROPRIATELY TO OUR CONCERNS, STATING MANAGEMENT WAS AWAY.

Great for families or a friends trip!

Lots of places to eat within one or two blocks. One block from Chinatown. Staff was very friendly and helpful, let us drop our bags early before our room was ready for early check in.

Met our needs as a basic apartment hotel. Staff very friendly and place clean. Check in quick. Noise due to street traffic and location but to be expected when so close to tourist areas and China town. We were not concerned about the noise as we wanted to be walkable to attractions and dining in Victoria without a rental car. Very easy to get around downtown Victoria.
