Djorff Palace

This was our best hotel on our three week trip. The staff are very very helpful, kind and very tentative. It is located directly on the Nile river and there is a boat that takes you back and forth the sites. The rooms are wonderful and unique and we would have enjoyed staying longer.

Experience fantastique. Accueil au top avec Mariana et son equipe .Havre de paix. Emplacement super . Restaurant qui change ses menus tous les jours. Navette bateau gratuite pour traverser le Nil tres agreable. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

The services it was very nice , they should fix the area of the boat , very quiet the pool very nice , food service good but very little menu , breakfast very limited, room very good 👍 bed are little hard but good

This hotel is a wonderful place to relax after a hectic day of sightseeing. The staff are all courteous and helpful. The dining options are truly delicious. It's a hotel I look forward to returning to.

This place is a true gem in Luxor. The room is so nice, staff very attentive, food was delicious, the pool so relaxing. Definitely this place was a highlight of our trip. The architecture of this palace is incredible. It’s amazing they have a boat to take you across the Nile to luxor temple. I just loved this place I wish I could stay here 100 more times!

The hotel was elegant and the view was beautiful. It was a really great hotel. The staff were nice, polite and friendly. The poor was clean. Breakfast was delicious! We had a wonderful time.

I had a wonderful stay at Djorff Palace this summer. It's a beautiful hotel in an incredible location -- right on the Nile River, the views are stunning -- and it was perfectly situated for my trip focused on visiting the temples and tombs of Luxor and surrounding areas. During my 7-day stay at the hotel I also felt incredibly well taken care of. The staff were attentive and helpful and the service throughout my stay was terrific. Everyone made me feel genuinely welcome literally from the moment I arrived. The restaurant was also excellent. Overall Djorff Palace really was the perfect base for my visit to Luxor.

We had a most splendid time at Djorff Palace. From the minute we arrived with the hotel’s river boat, we felt transported back in time. To a time where the dull uniformity of big corporate hotels did not exist. The architecture of the hotel is most elegant and the rooms are authentic and warm with their squeaky wooden floor, domed ceilings and the intricate wooden carvings on the balcony door and the windows. The whole place gives out a most enjoyable homely and calm atmosphere. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Especially Ali at the pool and one of the waiters at the dinner restaurant whose name - regrettably - escapes me at the moment. We also had a most handsome welcome by the owner, Marina. We arrived super early in the morning - way before check-in - but Marina took the time to have coffee with us and chat in the lobby. We enjoyed her company very much - especially her gift of storytelling! Even though she thought we were crazy for renting bikes to go sightseeing! She also upgraded our room free of charge just because a better room was available which I think says it all. That Djorff Palace is not about making the most profits but about caring for the guests. My partner and I are planning to open a BnB in Spain - if we ever manage to save up enough money - and we were definitely inspired when staying at Djorff Palace. If we can only create some of the same charm and homeliness that Djorff Palace has in our BnB we would have succeeded. Thank you so much!

Whilst this would not be everyone's favourite location ot was exactly what we were looking for a, quite unique different hotel. Each room is different but decorated with excelent taste with a mixture of old and new pieces. For some a lack of TV might be a problem but for us this meant we actually talked and did not miss it. The choice of food on the menu changed every day with a daytime menu available at the pool as well as a different menu for the evenings available in the restaurant. The hotel.also has its own boat to take you across to the East bank if you want to visit.

Stayed for 2 nights and we were in awe of this absolutely beautiful hotel. From the furnishings to the architecture to the hotel grounds, everything was breathtaking. We loved our stay here. Marina, the owner was very welcoming and the staff were outstanding. We had all our breakfast and dinners at the hotel restaurants and the staff were extremely accommodating. Would love to return for a longer stay one day. Our photos don't do it justice. We stayed in the beautiful Ruby room.

Local muito bonito, atendentes gentis. Porém, a comida é muito ruim e o local não é limpo. Tem tudo pra ser excelente, mas peca na higiene, na limpeza e na alimentação fornecida. Inclusive, em todos locais que fui no Egito recebi água gratuitamente, menos neste hotel.

You have to pay for everything even for water , and for iron they don’t have hairdryer in the room you have to ask them , throughout my Egypt stay water and other necessities were free but not here . And remember to check everything they will try to add 2-3$ more in your bill

Hotel Djorff Palace was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had. The website makes it look very nice but underneath the fairy tale Islamic castle appearance there is poison. Arriving at night by boat, we found a dock in very poor condition, no lights, no railing and the dirt pathway leading up to the hotel was unlit..cell phone lights saved us. Our bed, described as being a king was really a double and was rock hard (imagine sleeping on a yoga mat on concrete). My daughter and I were up all night in pain....she's much younger but still was miserable. The lighting, or lack thereof, was disconcerting, especially at night...in the room and outside on the grounds. Our Egyptian male friend was traveling around with us and showing us his country. He made a reservation at this hotel when I told him we had a room there. Shortly after this, the hotel cancelled his reservation because he was Egyptian and this British woman owner did not want "that" influence in her hotel! After our first night we decided that we couldn't stay there...not only due to the bed but the Racist owner of this establishment.....absolutely unpalatable. I went to the deck to check out and said we were leaving. We had a 3 night stay but couldn't do it. The owner knew who we were and lied to me and said all the rooms were booked which is why our friend couldn't stay.....with no apology about the bed either....her comment was "most people really like our hard beds!" DO NOT STAY HERE!

The property is stunning, taxi driver hard to find front door of it though, architecture is amazing from every angle, waited shuttle boat on the eastbank 2 times for about 1 hr long, breakfast staff not friendly, the rest of the staff are kind, rooms full of beautiful details.

Très beau bâtiment. Au calme sur la rive ouest. La patronne est une personne de confiance ce qui est appréciable car rare en Égypte! elle saura vous conseiller, et vous trouver des taxi au juste prix ! Bémol sur le petit déjeuner qui est assez médiocre, avec un pain industriel. Cependant la piscine est très agréable et il est facile de rejoindre la rive est avec une navette gratuite mise à disposition par l’hôtel ce qui est vraiment agréable.

Excellente localisation sur l'eau avec service bateau assuré, du calme et de la tranquillité dans un jardin qui invote a voyager dans le temps. Les chambres ont ce charme ancien et le personnel est courtois. Recommandé pour ceux qui souhaitent échapper à la frénésie de la modernité. Les autres préféreront les hôtels de la côte est avec salle de gym, sèche-cheveux et machines a café dans les chambres, mais avec moins d'ambiance.

The Djorff is an amazing place, the building is a literal work of art. It over looks the Nile River and has amazing sunrise/sunsets. The crew that works there is fantastic and their attention to detail rivals any 5 star chain. Breakfast, which is included with your stay is amazing. It is served on a patio which is next to the pool. It really is a special place. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, this place is closer to a resort feel than hotel. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone staying in Luxor.

A wonderful place to stay. It was like you were in an Agatha Christie novel transported back in time as you walk from the Nile towards the awe inspiring buildings. The owner is a very unique and special person. Her main concern was her guests and enjoying the experience. I wish my wife and I had been able to spend more time there.
