Very pleasant staff, lovely clean room. I ate in the lounge bar and as a solo female felt comfortable and safe at all times. Also the best butter chicken curry i have ever tasted.

The hotel is not in good condition, there is cracks all over the bedroom, the carpets are old and stained. Radiators clearly don’t work as they put an extra heater in the room. The windows are in very bad condition. The gym is not great and one of the machines does not work. I would not recommend this hotel or would I stay here again. You get what you pay for!

Free parking, nice location and amenities. Smart TV would have been better to have instead of just satellite tv.

Beds were too springy. Menu options were not what we received eg chicken supreme seved with just gravy and very little sweet chilli on the salmon. Room was ok for one night. Staff were great, very friendly and attentive.

Nice fairly basic room but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately a long walk to the room from the foyer and bring a jumper as the room was quite cold.

A little shabby and dated but good value for money. Food was very good, especially the breakfast. Our stay was a Sunday so few guests - and few staff too!

Good helpful reception. Husband disabled so had to use lift. Access to lift by ramp which needs replacing for a more permanent one. Disabled room was clean but the shower needs attention. Breakfast very good

A nice hotel that lacks enthusiasm and could do with a deep clean. Feels like it only really cares about conferences and the rooms are a bit dated. A comfortable stay but little things like the gym being dirty, no handwash in the rooms and grubby towels made it feel unloved.

Left waiting at Reception for check-in for about 10 minutes. When the Receptionist DID turn up, there was no apology whatsoever. The room was functional. Tired and there was spots where cleaning had been missed. Curtains were ripped, bathmat was falling apart, tv didnt really host any channels, WiFi was non-existent, and no instructions as to whether there was a password anywhere within the room. Staff at breakfast looked like theyd rather be anywhere but there. Teabags were removed a minute after we arrived for breakfast at 09:30. When we asked whether they had anything, the lad brought two standard tea bags bag, as opposed to the selection which had been there moments before. Breakfast selection was decent, but the hot food did look as though it may have been there since 06:45. The best interaction we received was as we left - the receptionist was very cheerful and pleasant and wished us a good day. Overall, this could be a great hotel, but it needed a lot of attention to detail that was sadly lacking

The room was hard to find upstairs and downstairs an alarm went off at 2am in morningand a power cut at6am in the morning

At best the hotel is tired. Staff make you feel an inconvenience. The rooms need attention. The fire alarm went off at 1am and nobody ever apologised. All the grounds need some attention. Senior staff sat around have private meetings

Really great stay. Lovely even meal, great breakfast. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. I'd happily stay here again and bring my wife. Some slight attention needed maintenance wise but nothing I'd complain about, especially give the price. I'll definitely be back when in the area. Plenty of parking.

As always - a great comfortable stay. Easy parking, close to the M1 and beautiful grounds.

not impressed with the room as upon arrival a white polyester wig was found in the room at the side of the dressing table. took it downstairs and was told management would be informed . nobody made any contact with us during the 2 night stay . most disappointed . not what we expected to find in our room that was stiflingly hot over night . the only good thing was the breakfast that kept us going most of the day

Friendly staff & very clean

My go to hotel for attending House & Classics. Not that close but just right for me getting to and from the event i attend and quiet when i return. Always happy to see me return and i'm always happy with everything here.

Stayed 1 night in a double bedroom. Room was good enough, clean, quiet, comfy bed. Just a little outdated that’s all. Breakfast however was not great. So many flies swarming put me off. The overall selection of food was not so great as well as the quality.

Room smelt of stale smoke. It was worse near the bedside cabinet and then I spotted the telephone that was filthy and that is where the smell was coming from. We had to sit it on the window ledge behind the curtain to try and get rid of the small, it was also thick with dust behind the cabinet. Both curtains were ripped on the edges, there was no privacy either so had to have the curtains closed as windows were bare. Room had not been throughly cleaned and there were marks on the bedsheet too.
