Best Western Reading Calcot Hotel

Room was nice, free water and snacks. Pillows and bed both good. Only bad things were the bathroom floor has fallen through so was sunk badly and the shower head desperately needs replacing.

Hotel was OK

Heating wasn’t working, told receptionist and was told all I had to do was turn it up. Still cold and too tired to go back and complain again.

We had no complaints it does what it says on the box, but the place is very tired, obviously the price reflects this. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Thanks

It met out expectations and then some

Breakfast needs important

Convenient location, easy parking but rooms are dated and need refurbishment. Breakfast was average.

Nice quiet hotel with plenty of parking. Restaurant is pretty good.

Staff always friendly and polite, rooms comfortable, and lovely range and set up for breakfast

The bathroom left a lot to be desired. Soap dispensers didn't work/empty. Informed staff did nothing. Shower was leaking. Toilet was disgusting. Windows were filthy. Blinds were faulty. Overall very disappointing.

There was a rowdy wedding going on and staff were overstretched. Shouting and banging of doors all night. Comfortable bed, but hair in the shower. Behaviour of other guests is of course out of the staff’s control, but more staff should have been on duty in anticipation.

Dated, horrible, I was able to hear the person next door having a bath, everything is old and horrible except the TV. The sheets were clean. I wanted my money back

Always have a great stay , housekeeping just missed a few bits

The first time we arrived our neighbours were playing loud music, we asked to move and we got told by the staff they'd give them a sound warning, which they did and fortunately they turned the music down. Our room wasn't the cleanest, there was hairs in the shower and bed and where our towels were in the wardrobe were very dusty. My partner had a bath and the water flooded out of the bottom of the bath. Whilst we was out, someone had come into our room and changed our bed and towels, even though we hadn't put a sign on our door to say we had needed it and we had only been there for one night. The duvet cover was dirty, and had a poo stain on it (i do have a photo if needed) we asked for another one and the receptionist said he was new and didn't know where anything was and would have to wait until another member of staff came in..

You can walk around the area and it’s safe.

Nice Hotel conveniently located. Restaurant offerings were nice at reasonable and sensible prices. Members of staff pleasant and helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet area with easy and free parking.
