This was a great stay in a perfect location.
Lovely room with a sea view,with everything you would need for a three night stay. The cooked breakfast was excellent, and the hosts Margaret and Martin were superb.

We were met with a really warm greeting from our hosts. They really made our stay, very knowledgeable about the local area and couldn't do enough to help. We had a good choice for breakfast which was freshly cooked and delicious. We stayed in Cozy Cove which is a lovely little double room with a fabulous view of the bay. Lots of thoughtful little touches like usb sockets, lots of plugs and coathangers. Everywhere was spotless and very homely. We did see previous reviews about the bathroom being small. It's not massive but it is really fresh looking and we didn't have any issues at all (and we're not skinny). Excellent location and parking on site. We'd definitely come back.

The Borthalan Hotel was amazing from the friendly and extremely helpful owners to the beautiful facilities and view. The owners provided all that we needed to get into St Ives and to walk around the local Carbis Bay Area - this made the visit that much more enjoyable. There is plenty of parking if you are driving to the Borthalan - which was a huge plus. The Breakfast was absolutely wonderful and they met all of my wife’s gluten allergy needs. We will absolutely visit again.

Our stay was great and our hosts Martin and Margaret were superb.Borthalan Hotel was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfasts were fabulous and we would definitely like to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Borthalan Hotel.
Room was lovely, comfy bed, with a great shower in bathroom.
Area was quiet with great walks to beach and St.Ives. Train station close by if you dont feel like walking.
Breakfast was superb and our hosts
Margaret and Martin were perfect.
Hoping to return very soon.

Exceptional hospitality and stay! One of the best B&Bs ever! Very clean, comfy bed, soft linen..loved the large shower in our room and the sea view! Great location with a short walk to the beach and the train station.
Martin & Margaret's hospitality and welcome made our stay even more special!
The house and gardens are beautiful and so well kept and maintained!
We will definitely be visiting again!

The rooms were very clean and cosy ,lovely big bathroom and good sea views.
The hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
A lovely cooked to order breakfast was served each morning .
Property was in a quiet road close to train station,bus stop and a short walk to Carbis bay.Truly wonderful stay.

Easter weekend away, Thursday to Monday. It was a fantastic stay with great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, and breakfast was terrific. Location perfect train into St Ives 3 min walk, or you could walk into st Ives around 20 min a nice walk as well

I don’t often leave reviews which is an indicator of how good this was. The weather and company was excellent which is always going to help but this is a great place to stay. Run like clock work- clean, great location, good facilities throughout, excellent shower and breakfast and hosts who make you feel at home and care for your every need.
I would certainly return and recommend to friends and family.

Margaret and Martin are lovely people who made us feel more than welcome. Our room had a wonderful sea view and was well equipped. I would say that Hotels.com has titiled the Borthalan as a hotel but I personally think it is a B&B - but a lovely one.

I had the most delightful stay at Borthalan Hotel, Margaret and Martin made me most welcome, it was very peaceful and restful. I was really surprised the lovely breakfasts were included, somehow I missed that. My room was really lovely, I felt quite at home ,all I needed was there.
The transport system is amazing, not expesive and reliable. Definitely recommend a stay there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Borthalon House. Martin and Margaret were wonderful hosts. They were so friendly and engaging and willing to help in any way they could. Margaret cooked an excellent hot breakfast each morning. Would definitely recommend.

We spent there 2 days and we felt like being at Home, but in a beautiful place (Carbis Bay near St. Ives) and with very kind people (the owners).
If we decide to return in Cornwall we'll sure stay there. Ps: the breakfast was amazing!
