Clarion Hotel Charlecote Pheasant

A friendly hotel, very atmospheric and Christmassy. Comfortable room, clean etc. Really happy they don’t use any air fresheners or scented laundry detergent- a rare treat! Would happily stay again.

Bathroom had dust and lots of hair along bath skirting. Staff were lovely very friendly especially at reception and bar and restaurant

Room spacious and clean. House keeping did try and enter to clean before we had checked out. Issues with wifi (it didnt come upas an optio.

Very pet friendly. Breakfast was £12.50 per person. Adequate and plentiful. Rooms a little tired but still pleasant enough.

The receptionist was helpful on arrival and departure, although the room we had was badly signposted and we wandered around in the dark searching for it. The food was very disappointing. We both had starters and a main carvery meal. The starters felt like they had been reheated and were bland. Not sure how anyone can get a roast dinner wrong, but they did. The roast potatoes were rubbery like they'd been cooked for the kunchtime service and reheated. The Yorkshire puds were dry and burnt and agin like they had been reheated from lunchtime. The cabbage had barely been cooked and the meat (Pork and turkey) was bland. We had drinks on arrival, but when the barman/waiter came and asked if everything was ok and we asked for the same again, we waited over 20 mins before the waitress came and we had to ask again. It wasn't like they were busy with only one other couple eating and two or three others in the bar area. On first inspection of the Suite (Rm 4), it was nice, but the decor is outdated and worn and the furniture didnt seem to match. The carpet certainly had seen better days and had various stains on it. The bed linen was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean, water was hot, but again the floor tiles were cracked and the grout was missing in a lot of places. Its a shame as the website and photos were full of promise, but it failed to deliver.

Bath had some hairs in it on arrival. Not very well sound proofed room so the noise travelled all through the corridors. Great dog field just beside the property and good poo bags

Very friendly welcome, good price and great location. Lovely little touches for the dogs, treats at the bar, beds and bowls in the room and great dog field so they could run off the lead in the morning.

Nice breakfast for the staff

The bar,restaurant and staff were all great knowledgeable and professional . The only problem was WiFi (very slow) and tv. Although there were multiple stations listed a lot were greyed out on list( not available) and those that were available were not to my taste ,although I’m sure they were popular with others My room seemed cold but was immediately given a heater which proved perfect. I live and travel in the states and in hotels with shower bath combo the baths are lower to enable getting in and out safer and easier All in all it was a great stay and would stay again

Great location for Stratford upon Avon and Warwick. The room was very comfortable, good value and the staff friendly and helpful

We enjoyed our stay, our second time here. Unfortunately the shower didn’t work and the toilet kept refilling all night. We did tell reception when we left but to be honest they were a little indifferent about it! She said if people don’t tell us we don’t know! But tbh the shower fitting was loose on the wall, the waste on the bath was broken and I don’t believe the shower had worked for a long time it wouldn’t even turn on. Overall it is a pleasant place to stay but a little disappointing when things don’t work. We only stayed one night and discovered the shower didn’t work in the morning, but was close to leaving time which is why we didn’t address the problem earlier.

Ideal location for our stay. Room clean, although we had to ask for more toilet roll.

Very good room service and helpful staff. Charming old buildings and lovely countryside.

The main issue was we didnt get 2 family rooms like we paid for and then the rooms initially were not even in the same building and then we got rooms on different floors. The rooms were nice and food was good too.

The actual hotel is in a lovely setting and the mixture of buildings and rooms looks good, but we had three problems. When we arrived the windows were all open - we were staying in Room 102 which is an separate building - and the room was a bit cold.. We shut the windows and turned up the heating, but then a weird smell started... they must allow dogs to stay ( since in room 101 opposite there was a dog since he barked a bit overnight) but the smell of dog was quite strong..We popped out to Stratford in the evening and were not late back - but by that point the dog smell was lingering and it felt too late to request a room move... i do think the hotel should check if you want to stay in a dog friendly room if you are not a dog owner. ! the other problem was that about 6:30 the outside door - which was right next to our room opened and closed about 50 times... I assume there is a linen room located in our building, but the back and forth of people opening the door and then letting it slam shut was a nightmare..!... also the room upstairs, when they walk back and forth the sound below is so loud.... the bar and restaurant looked nice, and we had a drink the evening, but i would not stay again.... or if we did then I would ask for an alternate room straight away.

Lovely hotel nice staff we went with our dog and he was made very welcome, I told them in advance it was our anniversary and can I have a bottle of Prosecco in the room we got there and Prosecco chocolates across heart and anniversary banner was on the bed Thankyou for making our trip lovely xxxx.

Great staff and evening meal.

Hi food breakfast was good. Could have been a little warmer but over all good. Pet area ok but it was very cold in that part of dinning area.. i was freezing. Staff wete winderful. But felt let doqn by our room. It was so small. We were in room 6. My husband is 6.1 and this room was very small.could have more peraonal touches.

Clean room, helpful staff

Very nice room, bathroom was fine but could do with and update. Bar and restaurant were great and the food was excellent. Very nice and attentive staff. Thoroughly recommend
